After a few days of use, here are our first impressions on the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold with its stunning hardware and great battery life.

Unfortunately those millions weren't invested in new products but to fund the CEO lifestyle.

Across the world, the biggest smartphone manufacturers are Apple (28%), Samsung (24%), Xiaomi (12%), Oppo (6%) and Vivo (5%). However, there are geographic patterns in popularity, with Apple dominating North America and East Asia, while Samsung leads in South America, Europe, Africa and West Asia in addition to its home turf of South Korea. Xiaomi is the most popular phone brand across South Asia, Spain, Venezuela, Ukraine, Madagascar, Kyrgyzstan and Palestine, while Tecno is popular in West and Central Africa. Oppo, Vivo and Huawei lead in Indonesia, Bhutan and Togo respectively.

The Pixel 9 series has way better battery life, but it also delivers improvements to charging. One of those improvements is that the Pixel 9 has higher requirements for fast charging, helping you better know if your charger is truly up to speed.

Through a new joint initiative, Google and Apple are making it possible to transfer playlists between Apple Music and YouTube Music in either direction using the “Data Transfer Project.”

This new option arrives via Google and Apple both using the “Data Transfer Project” stack which was developed by the two companies as a part of the Data Transfer Initiative, of which both Google and Apple are members. This same ongoing partnership has also previously delivered the photo-sharing tool used to transfer photos and videos from iCloud to Google Photos.

In a blog post, the Data Transfer Initiative (DTI) teases that other services may join in time, saying:

Portability is a hard problem, and no tool can be perfect. But at DTI, our ambition – shared with our partners – is to build and ship best-in-class offerings for direct portability. We believe we have accomplished that goal with this newest DTP-powered tool, and we’re proud that users of Apple Music and YouTube Music can now transfer playlists between those services, free of charge, with a high quality experience.
