So recently I let my cat inside after she was out running around and she came in and everything was normal. But later on that night she comes up and lays with me and I feel on her side that there is something hard and I originally thought oh she must have rolled in something and it's just like got her first stuck and so I call harden now. But then I took a closer look and I seen this and I don't know if it's something that she did or if she got into a fight with something or if it's something else. So I was just wondering if anyone knew what this could be and if it's okay or what

We just adopted this little boy. He's on medication for a cold (apparently he gets them often, likely due to past neglect when he has his first). Either way, he's in good hands now. Snores and all. We love him!

Here’s the long awaited update on my oddly colored cat! She’s now about to be 6 months old (could possibly already be since we don’t know her bday) and 5.9lbs. So funny enough, we still haven’t really decided on a name so her name is currently “stinky” and “the creature” because she’s just so weird. We have officially taught her 5 tricks; sit, up, down, high-five and paw. Many people thought she was going to go orange or even black. She has stayed this weird muted brown color? In person she’s actually more brown/grey? Like as if she was a black cat that went and rolled in dirt. No idea what color this is still and we haven’t sent in for dna testing cause honestly it’s kinda pricey for what we think would just be a cool little thing to know. For an official name, we are thinking Pharah would be a cute name.

My soon to be ex landlord is extremely neglectful of the cat in his care. The cat belong(s/ed) to his ex-wife’s son but has been in his care for at least a year. The cat has fleas, has mangy nasty bald spots from fleas, gets left without food or water for days, when I put food and water down it gets thrown away. These pictures don’t do it justice, he was visible parasites from his anus, his legs are patchy and nasty. Is there anything I can do? I move out in 2 days so I no longer care about jeopardizing the roof over my head.

I've been seeing this cat outside for awhile but I'm not sure if it belongs to someone it doesn't have a collar on and the other day and I always see it roaming around with other cats. It has come to my window to see my cat but I don't know if it is a stray and needs a home. I would be open to taking it in but I don't know where to begin any suggestions, has anyone had this happen before?

Hi! Recently I took in a cat for my sisters friend until she can find a new apartment where she can have the cat. The day I brought the cat home, I found out that he’d never been vaccinated or neutered so I made a vet appointment for him. He went today and got the rabies vaccine and the FVRCP vaccine. Since he came to me, I’ve been keeping him in a separate area of the house than my two cats (fully vaccinated and spayed), and I meant to ask the vet today when I should expect to be able to start introducing him to my cats but I completely forgot and they are now closed. I plan on calling Monday when they open again but I wanted to see if anyone had any insights?

Title says as obvious. 19 years old, less than 3 combined months total of work experience since I left my last job for the terrible work environment that was causing major damage to my mental state.

I've already tailored my resume to exact specification with some help from the guys over at r/resumes (thank you for the suggestion to change what I needed to change) and also some IRL help from a close friend of mine who specializes in professional writing.

My main concern now is just - how BAD is the market that out of the over 250 applications (which is literally all I have in the general area, I'm dead serious,) I've only had a maximum of 6 interviews, and a job history that is less than stellar as my first one I left because they never scheduled me for like 3 months (I still technically work at Burlington in thier systems??) - second I was let go for downsizing as they couldn't afford it, and third I left for the reason above at the top.

Are there easier ways of getting hired-? Or is the market, or MYSELF just cooked beyond an extent to which it could offer any benefit? I've HEARD you need to know people in the industry to get employment easier but I'm practically solitary save for personal friend connections and I don't get out much.

If you guys have any advice as to how I could improve these rates, or anything of the sort to find a job and FAST, PLEASE do let me know. Be as harsh and truthful as you need to be.

i've been interviewing with this company for an entry-level job for about 1.5 months now. the process was originally supposed to take 2-3 weeks according to the recruiter from the company, but due to internal delays (no detail was given on what exactly), my process was stretched out a lot. my final interview was more than a month ago, and they took until this past monday to give me a verbal offer. the recruiter called me and said i got the job and i was under the impression that i would be sent the offer letter to sign later that day. she didn't exactly say when they would send it, but that's what i assumed based on her phrasing in the call. on tuesday, i emailed her asking when it would be sent. it's now friday and i have not gotten a reply. is this normal??? the recruiter has taken a while to respond in the past, but almost a week of silence has me a little concerned.

edit: i have the recruiter's phone number, but i'm not sure if calling her to ask would be looked down upon or something. any advice?

every time i get a few rounds into an interview process i start getting hopeful. imagining myself quitting my awful job for something new and feeling like maybe something good will happen. then i inevitably get rejected right before the final round and all the hope turns into despair. i feel like not being excited or hopeful for a job would help me not get devastated, but i don’t know how to interview well without being excited about the job prospect and leaving my current job. how do i guard myself from getting emotionally invested? does anyone have any tips? i’m fresh off a canceled third round with a “you were so good but we hired someone better than you!” and i swear i’m gonna freaking jump

So I recently shared in a comment a experience I had with a company who had me do 3 interviews and told me personally to my face that i was the guy, just to completely ghost me and tell me a few days later the position was already filled 😂, (I laugh to keep from crying because this happened twice).

The problem isn't necessarily finding a job, the issue is finding something that pays a decent wage without having to sell your soul, arm, leg and 3 prostitutes 😭

How do you people stay sane in this process or do you just say fk it and take anything.

Applied for a job opening I saw on LinkedIn and got an email 20 minutes later from a third-party company called Onward Search asking me to do an interview with an AI interviewer (attached). I waited two hours to determine my availability, and when I went to click on the link to schedule it, I was told the opportunity is gone (also attached).

I really do not know what to do at this point, this is the first time in six months that I had gotten a single interview opportunity. Nothing is more discouraging than this. I can't find a single phone number or contact to reach out to and clarify this. Is there a single human being actually involved with the job market anymore?

So I was assuming peak hiring is from Jan-Mar, but its actually ramps up in April and hiring goes on till Nov?

I'm confused
