We have had the same issues on my main (dbzer0) which is part of what prompted me to try and fragment some of .worlds. Also like many I am a previous reddit user who left during the exodous of June 23 so centralisation of too many communities makes me nervous xD

Hi to anyone who reads this.

I've been considering moving the community for a while whilst I'm still the only main poster so as to try and dilute communities and make Lemmy in general less centralised due to how many communities are hosted by .world. The longer I waited to do this the harder it may be to rebuild but as it is mostly still me posting hopefully the people who lurk will be happy to subscribe to the new community and in time hopefully it can grow into a more active place with my contributors.

More and more instances are also defederating with Lemmy.world recently over their questionable moderating and views. These politics should be kept out of music and music enjoyment / discussion and I want as many people to be able to both see and discover the music that is being posted here. This community is going to be stunted from growing and have less eyes on it in /all by staying on .world.

As such I have created a community over at -

https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/dubstep

[email protected]

I'm going to continue posting two releases a day, as I have done here for over a year, just over there now where hopefully a better community can slowly be built and be seen by everyone who wants to.

Please come and join me over there, subscribe if you are just a lurker who enjoys the music I post. Hopefully one day there will be enough of us to have some better discussions but until then I will keep posting!

Shit, thanks for the detailed reply. I'll need to go through this when I have a minute and explore :D

Kromestar is great too!

What sort of sound is steppas? Recommend me a couple of tracks that you think would sell it to me xD

This is new but just done in your more 'traditional' style. Sukh Knight has been around the scene for a long time too though.

Chief Kaya is usually pretty weighty :D

Add a cheeky smoke and that sounds perfect! XD

Yeah I quite like him. I enjoyed his Dungeon release earlier this year too!

Nice, I like this, haven't heard the name before.

I'm looking forward to this release!

I like a bit of Volume A but haven't heard of that (what I presume is a mix series) I'll have to check it.

Where I am I've never really had an issue with lorries, they always seem to be aware of where I am and pass with more than enough space. Smaller 7.5 ton (usually scaffolders) however don't seem to have the same awareness in my experience.

Sounds about right, pretty sure they either don't know most rules of the road or are such arrogant pricks they think they don't apply to them.

As a cyclist the 3 most dangerous types of vehicles I keep an eye out for are taxis, council vehicles and then police cars. All of which often pass me with 50cm of space between their vehicle and my handlebars.

Taxis are without a doubt the worst however. Fuck those arrogant, dangerous cunts.
