C'mon, balkanize already.

Congrats on normalizing to 2017 dollars, however the graph starts at a misleading 260 billion, not zero. I was always told it's considered bad form not to include the little squiggly break lines to show that on bar graphs.

So if the amount spent went from roughly 340 billion to 380 billion, ~10% increase, but the cost/quantity*quality of that food (which is difficult to calculate because of shrinkflation, shittier quality generally, and different items being on the menu) has easily gone up 25% at an absolutely uncontroversial low end, that proves the opposite, that people are eating fast food less than pre-covid.

After the revolution I want his nobel prize taken and awarded to me.

They could get 90% of us to vote for Biden if it was Biden voters who were leading every protest and actively pressuring him, and not apologizing for things like his anti immigration stance.

Show me some assurance that you do actually intend to work with us after the election, and you won't just go back to brunch to complain about all these dumb terrorist-supporting antisemitic kids. If Biden lost because of us that would mean the Dems would have to pay attention to our votes if they want to win going forward.

Republicans openly admitting that the US is not a democracy demonstrates that the American civic religion is in decline.

My local small right leaning town has some good people in government positions, and we're getting some pretty nice infrastructure improvements like protected bike lanes and roundabouts

The local insane litterbox conspiracy theorist got kicked off the school board.

Grocery prices are down a lot

After years of looking with no success I just randomly connected with two local lefties in two unconnected events this week what? And they're both just down the road from me.

The primary reason Firefox use needs to be pushed is because it has the only rendering engine that is not chrome's. If Firefox dies that gives Google 100% freedom to set every web standard as they please. Every other web browser is a chrome skin, including edge, including opera, etc. The second companies think they can get away with dropping Firefox support they will (some already have, like tandem, the company that makes my insulin pump)

How many wars is China actually engaged in right now though? They probably more have them around in case and the quality reflects that, while American MREs are made with the expectation they will be used.

I'm just throwing out an idea really, I'm not a military guy.

I don't think in my education they even went that far into the genocide aspect proper, it was more "imagine that due to literally no fault of your own you were tortured and killed. Isn't that fucked up?"

God I'm so sick of that characterization of autism. Autism doesn't change whether you feel emotions it just changes how you express them and how you perceive them in others. I find most people with autism (myself included) to be particularly sensitive in fact, in the way that anyone who finds themselves lower on some spectrum in the kyriarchy is.

I'm going to go against the flow here and say BTRFS. It's stable enough to the point of being a non consideration. You get full backups using a negligible amount of storage. Even using it on Windows is easier than using ext4 with the winbtrfs driver.

There's a very big gap to bridge to make anything vegan as gross as omni food. What are they going to put in there that is as gross as literal flesh, an intact piece of what was a living, perceiving mammal you could probably have been friends with?

The popularity of alt-milks has skyrocketed recently too. It's funny that they're choosing now as the time to ban the word "milk" after there's zero chance anyone will mistake it for cow's milk.

Oh drat oh bother I've accidentally bought peanut butter instead of dairy butter. What ever shall I put on my toast now??

There are a handful of topics that would be effectively impossible to talk about anywhere else because of the minefield of reactionary thought terminating cliches baked into Western culture. That is, so long as we didn't just have a struggle session boarding that topic.
