All participating instances have a bot that subscribes to participating communities from the other instances. This makes it so a community is federated over to all participating instances.

Example: You create !ask_kemmy@lemmy.com and around 70 bots from other instances then subscribe to it. Now users on those 70 other instances sees the community and subscribes themselves. The bots see this and they unsubscribe because their work is done.

"The Killing Stone is an all new deckbuilding card battler with a 17th century occult horror narrative."

I've tried to document the infrastructure around it, and made everything super organized, so that it's both easier to maintain and hand over in case that's ever needed.

Oh wait, IT COSTS MONEY?!? Oh noo... Anyway, I wanted the help smaller indie game communities get shown, so they won't have to be spread across 20 different generic instances.

You are free to create the community yourself!

Yea, that is to the post announcing we created this community. In hindsight, not the best decision.

For the past couple of weeks, some of us moderators of the subreddit r/Silksong, have been working on an exciting project. We’ve created a lemmy instance for fans of indie games. We officially run and support this instance and the Silksong community on it. Please check it out at !Silksong@indie-ver.se

I invite you, current users of the Fedi-verse, to join us at @indie-ver.se, subscribe and interact with the communities there, as they grow. So we can support both a more free internet, and indie game communities. See you soon!

also r/Balatro joined at !Balatro@indie-ver.se

Posting on r/Silksong helps a lot. We've been in contact with many moderators all across Reddit, trying to get them to join us, but that is still developing.

Hi everyone! For some reason, this instance weren't receiving updates for posts made on this community and !Games@lemmy.world, even though federation is working for posts made on e.g. !Silksong@indie-ver.se

Subscribing to both communities, and then going to the post on an alt account, made all the comments on the post show up. Very weird.

What? Nah, we da' sanest people around.

Welcome, friends! As a recent convert myself I’m so happy to see more community joining the fediverse

I get what you mean, the goal was actually to do the opposite. Try to get all indie game related subs together, but in this regard everything is a trade of.

Changing the domain of a lemmy instance is quite hard. (Already did it once during testing). And I don't think indie-ver.se is that hard to spell. Anyways, I am not asking the 100+ users who subscribed to change it, but I do see your point.

Another amazing video by Ari! I hope some of this content will be a part of the Sea of Sorrows DLC, though I doubt it.
