Look, I get what you are saying and I do agree. However, I don't think that comparing pedophilic relations to LGBTQ struggles is fair. One is consented relationship between consenting adults, other is exploitation and high probability of setup for lifelong mental struggles from young age.

I must admit, amount of comments that are defending AI images as not child porn is truly shocking.

In my book, sexual images of children are not okay, AI generated or otherwise. Pedophiles need help, counseling and therapy. Not images that enable something I think is not acceptable in society.

I truly do believe that AI images should be subject to same standards as regular images in what content we deem appropriate or not.

Yes, this can be used to wrongfully prosecute innocent people, but it does not mean that we should freely allow AI-CP.

Thank you for voicing the sensible, human and empathetic argument.

I would not fire the guy from his job, however, I would give him endless shit for using a work computer to watch porn. That's just dumb.

Royal "we", as in humanity. Your statement may be valid that the average Joe does not care, but it is important. Just as it was important to develop electricity to what is the modern grid today.

I agree wholeheartedly

We're so into pushing the limits of AI, but we're forgetting about the important stuff, like making sure everyone has power when the weather goes crazy. It's like we're so focused on the shiny new toy that we're ignoring the basics. It's like we're trading our populations health for a few cool pictures. We need to think about the bigger picture and make sure we're not sacrificing what really matters for the sake of technology.

I love reading all sorts of books, and I think most people do too. Those who judge others for what they read are just a loud minority.

"One Rich Asshole Called Larry", which is a common joke about the company's founder Larry Ellison.

Or

"One Real Asshole Called...", which is another derogatory joke about the company and its leadership.

I used AI to do a quick summary, hope it highlights why people feel negatively about LTT

Over the past year, the YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips (LTT) has faced significant controversy and negative feedback from viewers, primarily centered around workplace issues and allegations of misconduct.

Negative Feedback from Viewers:

  1. Content and Business Practices: There has been criticism regarding the quality and accuracy of LTT’s content. Some viewers and other tech channels, such as Gamers Nexus, have pointed out errors and misleading information in LTT’s videos【1】【2】.
  2. Market Expansion: LTT's attempts to expand into new markets and increase viewer growth have also been scrutinized. Some critics believe these moves have compromised the channel's integrity and focus【3】.

Sexual Harassment Case:

  1. Allegations: There were serious allegations of sexual harassment, bullying, abuse of power, and retaliation within the LTT workplace. These claims painted a picture of a toxic work environment【4】【5】.
  2. Response and Investigation: LTT conducted an investigation through a third-party law firm, which concluded that the allegations were not substantiated. However, the handling of the situation, including the dismissal of the claims, has left some employees and viewers dissatisfied【6】【7】.

Thank you for putting how I feel browsing Lemmy into words. I really hope that more wholesome communities can gain more traction soon.

To be fair, Chrome does generally render most websites faster and correctly. I have Chrome installed just in case of some webpages not working with Firefox. Now, that's not Mozillas fault, but from user standpoint makes Chrome more attractive browser to use.

Hi! Sorry if this is a common question.

Is there a tool, search engine or methods so search for a given topic or posts on Fediverse (lemmy, kbin, mastadon, etc)? I come across a lot of great discussions and posts. It would be great to find more about a specific things, or even debugger a problem. Kind of like appending reddit to your Google search to find a niche discussion or solution.
