They are as alright as a centralized exchange can be, getting more and more corporate tho, it’s not the same company it was 5 years ago anymore. But they’re still very close to the community, they aren’t a big fan of KYC themselves but they have to do it. If you want to avoid that better go with decentralized exchanges.
Although the immigration and refugee waves have only become an issue due to the right wing narrative of a great replacement that got fueled by mainstream media and what were formerly centrist politicians. It was never actually as much of an issue as the other things you mentioned are.

Likely that there’s more to this, but I think it’s also important to remember that they did the same to some climate activists and that institutions in France are notoriously hostile towards the French-Muslim population, especially of (North-)African descent.

Levantine Arabs have a better standing due to some Palestinians and Lebanese churches having close ties to France, but in general I also wouldn’t rule out that this sentence is as harsh just because someone disliked by the government was too critical of said government. Although I have to admit that this is now speculation from my side

I will send them a letter stating that I’m condemning this plot
Holy shit this persons comment history, would like to say welcome to Lemmy but probably there’s a reason you had to create a new account.
I'd take a burger or some fried chicken over German food anytime.
