No clue, just saying you’re “allowed” to use SMS if it’s important to you. But I might have misinterpreted you!

You can turn off iMessage and you’ll be sending texts as regular SMS.

Hot is basically broken as is

This is a great idea for Lemmy overall. Would probably increase activity in smaller communities.

That’s their defense sorted. Insane one.

Teacher, jumped in to play some football with the kids. Played for about 5 minutes before spraining my ankle badly and fracturing a bone in my foot.

2 years later it’s not good.

All I wanted was to have some fun for a couple of minutes.

Yeah that’s true. React native do support very smooth transitions as well though. Another app that is extremely smooth - albeit not as complete as Mlem or Memmy is Beans for Lemmy. I do believe it’s written in Swift as well.

In theory swift should be smoother, but in reality React Native is good enough for it to be really smooth. It comes down to the coding itself.

Thank you! Seems really really snappy compared to the previous one!

My tinnitus forces me to bike with noise canceling headphones. I mean sure, I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone. But listening to sounds provides a false sense of security. I’m extremely aware of my surroundings since I started using my AirPods. Never do I stop looking around me. This has without a doubt made me a much safer person in traffic.

So even that might not be all to dumb. Though if one is to use headphones, it’s no casual stroll, it’s a constant game of looking out.

Progress. Hopefully it’s quick enough.

Lemm.ee, quick, responsive and just works.

While browsing all, with the hot setting, there are several posts that are days, even months old. Doesn’t take long to reach them either.

Thought it had to do with Lemmy.world being on 0.17, but it’s still a problem on 0.18

Is it me, or is it rather slow? If I sort by active I get content that is 1-2 days old. If I sort by hot most stuff are 17-20h old.

There is interesting content on here, it’s just hard to find. And you end up having to sort by new, which is totally different experience!

Other than that I really feel like Lemmy could become something awesome.
