Separate songs, sorted into separate folders by albums. No other files, as all metadata is embedded in the files.

Hi, does Rockbox have a limit regarding album art resolution? My iPod G5.5 only shows it for some tracks, sometimes with ridicously long track durations in the progress bar. Any ideas? TIA

New to rockbox. How can I check?

I will play around with different metadata. I have all album art embedded but only some albums show issues, which is why I suspect the resolution. Will keep you informed.

[update 01]: RB apparently prefers JPEG until 600 x 600 pixels, ideally not progressive. After updating the cover art to 150 x 150 sizes, the iPod briefly displays the album art for ~10 sec max, followed by skipping to the next song and the same behavior all over again. Not sure if this is happening because the database might still be updating in the background.

[update 02]: issue seems solved: File transfer to the iPod should be done in disk mode of the iPod OS, otherwise songs will be corrupted.

Thanks everyone to contributing with your input!

Hi, want to buy some used hardware to run with Linux (Gnome DE ON Mint, Debian OR ElementaryOS). Mainly Office use, transcoding, but also for casual gaming Half-life 2 and maybe some more modern games.

Are Thinkpads with integrated GPUs sufficient for that? Any nice alternatives which are sturdy and can be upgraded?

TIA!

EDIT: thank you for all the helpful input. Will check AMD options!

Heard that so often, but cannot relate. Coming from the NES, SNES, GBA games, I cannot see why this game was so popular. Currently playing it on 3DS, but need to force myself at times..

*what you have NOT done.

Fixed that for you 😉

This means there is still time for data hoarders to react?

Hi, I have a Gen6 modded with an iFlash solo & a 128 GB SD card. I sync to my Mac-based library, which is managed via the Appe Music app.

Every time I sync, the Mac does not recognize the library and tells me I can only syn the device with one computer at a time.

Any ideas on how to solve this issue? Which of the two devices stores information about previous syncs?

Thanks!

Hi, I want to degoogle a Samsung Tablet I got. There is no LineageOS built out for this recent tablet, so I can only try to degoogle the stock ROM.

Any good guides to follow?

And further guides to remove the Samsung bloat? Thanks!
