Is immigrating harder nowadays? My parents moved from Russia to Germany in 2004, and it sounds like it wasn't really that hard. My dad just had to find a job first to prove secure income and then we could move 🤷 My husband's parents came over around the same time on a jewish reparation program, because some of their ancestors used to live in Germany. They always said it was pretty easy as well.

How many chains did you do on the ends to turn? This tutorial is saying to do 4. It looks to me like you either did less than that or your chains were a bit tight, which maybe made you lose track of them at the ends?

I mostly use Firefox when I use a browser (App-using zoomer) but I actually might swap to something Chromium based at some point? My only reason for it is the resentment I'm building up for Firefox while writing Playwright tests at work. It takes like twice as long as chrome and keeps flaking due to random timeouts ughh

That's good to know! And just unlocking the bootloader doesn't void the warranty on most phones, does it?

Are launchers reasonably fast nowadays? I think the last time I put one on my phone was around 2014 and I removed it very quickly because the slight lags and delays at every corner really annoyed me. I've never used iOS, but I guess I could get used to it if it means not having excessive lag when using it haha

Yeah, you gotta look at a few whitekitten posts from time to time, just to keep yourself grounded

On an individual level? No idea, I have no experience with that lol

On a systemic level? The problem seems to be that people assume dating apps are only for hookups, so people who are looking for something serious avoid them. So the idea becomes true through self-validation. Breaking that cycle somehow would make everyone involved happier I think?

I personally like using 😤 for "confidentally stupid" sarcasm and 😬 for "yikes" sarcasm.

There's also the classic eyeroll 🙄 but that one's usually a bit too aggressive for me.

Oh and 🫠 and 🙃 can work well too!

Heyo, I'm usually a runner too and just got into lifting about 5 weeks ago.

You said you did a Leg Press and Squat on the same day? Those are both pretty hard on your legs and hit fairly similar muscles, the training program I follow specifically splits them so that they aren't done on the same day. Plus those first time DOMs really hit hard usually.

Running will also fuck up your recovery big time. You might feel fine when you run, but the accumulated systemic fatigue really messes with things. Maybe consider replacing some of your runs each week with biking or the Elliptical (or cutting them altogether if you want lifting to be your priority)

Right now, the best you can do is some active rest, good food, and good sleep.
