Mine finally did too at the end of last year! Apparently they had checked Postman back in the day when it didn't require a login and deemed it fine, but totally missed their move into being a cloud service. I had to prod the Cloud Service Security guy for months until he finally took a look at it

Is immigrating harder nowadays? My parents moved from Russia to Germany in 2004, and it sounds like it wasn't really that hard. My dad just had to find a job first to prove secure income and then we could move 🤷 My husband's parents came over around the same time on a jewish reparation program, because some of their ancestors used to live in Germany. They always said it was pretty easy as well.

Do you have a proper Jig like this (Aliexpress link)? I find that just having that makes injecting much less of an inconvenience for me

That's good to know! And just unlocking the bootloader doesn't void the warranty on most phones, does it?

Are launchers reasonably fast nowadays? I think the last time I put one on my phone was around 2014 and I removed it very quickly because the slight lags and delays at every corner really annoyed me. I've never used iOS, but I guess I could get used to it if it means not having excessive lag when using it haha

My (maybe controversial) theory is that software engineering is a deeply creative and self-expressive field, more closely related to art and literature than to the "hard" sciences. But it has the clear upside that it isn't stigmatized like Art & Literature, so getting into it isn't met with the same amount of scrutiny & criticism, especially for people who present in a masculine way.

I do have a snake scarf planned in the near future! :D The general idea is to either do minimalist Color blocking in my snake's color scheme ( Chocolate, Latte and Ivory, with that distinct dorsal stripe she has ) or, if I find a nicely fitting background color, a mostly accurate depiction of her looped around an infinity scarf ^^

(ironically, I don't program in Python, never quite liked the syntax. I'm a gross JavaScript/React Developer instead lol)

Yoo that's pretty cool! Bottom-Up component management is definitely something I've wished for (and may or may not have implemented) several times when working with React haha

Redditor trying to have a healthy relationship challenge, level: "not telling the full story so that r/AITA is on their side" 👌👌

Aww, the light is on but nobody's home! Do we have an established r/OneOrangeBraincell equivalent on Lemmy yet?
