Wow! I used to use DSL for fun on a pen drive that was literally a pen. I used it to host a wiki I was working on for a personal project and I just thought it was cool. This was probably in 2008 or so. I just had my old Surface crap out on me the other day because the drive is fried and part of me was thinking of just booting into DSL. Then I remembered USB drives have come a looong way since the aughts lol. Still really cool to see this!
Gotta be Happy Days or something, right? That show had so many spin-offs, including Laverne and Shirley, which itself got spun off into an animated show. But I don’t know if there’s ever been a spin-off that got a spin-off and then that second spin-off also got a spin-off
TCP is when you don’t get your package because you weren’t there to sign for it and now you have to wait until tomorrow for them to try again. You were home all day and no one rang the bell but you still keep finding a “sorry we missed you” slip in the door. Eventually you have to go to the package center and get it yourself.
UDP is when you get 50 packages per day thrown on your doorstep. Some of them are probably yours and some of those are probably what you ordered, but they show up fast and often
Thank you! That was bugging me. Glad it’s fixed
I’ve been pretty psyched for this as someone who consumes a lot of 2D Mario content including Mario Maker and SMW ROM hacks. Glad to see basically everyone saying it feels solid
However, this quote from Digital Spy,
Instead, Wonder's strongest moments are when it takes a breather, taking the time to set the scene while letting the platforming do the talking.
Is something I was kinda worried about as well. The wonder effects that were shown seem cool, but I really want the platforming to take the lead role. SMW ROM hacks show us that pure platforming can still be creative as hell. I wonder how SMBW will stack up to the likes of, say, GPW3
After looking at the steam page, the screenshots suggest that it’s pretty different. Also I guess this is roguelike, so it’s a different experience in the same narrative world. It’s probably not for me, in that case, but I’m glad to see the DRG world growing
First I’ve heard of this but it looks like it definitely has some Chrono Trigger DNA and Yasunori effing Mitsuda involved in the music department! I will absolutely have to check this out
Why would you pre order a game at all? Like sometimes they offer bonuses, but it’s just a way to trick you into giving them the money without seeing the final product. Just buy it day 1 if you want, but never pre order
Been looking forward to this, but this drip feed of info is so tiring. I feel like I’ve seen this trailer like 3 times now with tiny bits added each time. Not a huge fan of that rival’s character design, but some of the Indigo Disc characters looked cool.
True. It also won’t help against malicious spam bots, but it helped me get rid of all the repost/rehost bots I was seeing when I first joined
Congrats! First one I beat as well, but it was the GBA version back in like 2004. To this day, FF1 stands as one of my favorite games just due to its simplicity and hands off storytelling, while still letting you customize your party and spells. My first win was Paladin, Master, Ninja, Red Mage
