The kid might like the Historium! It's more an attraction than a museum, and tells the story of Bruges in the Middle Ages with Jan Van Eyck. It's in a beautiful building as well!

The Concertgebouw Circuit is also very nice to do with kids. Guaranteed they'll want to have a career in music after that haha. Also takes you up to the roof of the building with a wonderful view of the city.

Speaking of views, go to the top of the Belfry. You have to climb 366 stairs, guaranteed they'll have a good sleep after that!

All the museums in Bruges also offer kids-friendly tours. Groeninge Museum I already mentioned - and, again, is a must see - but I also really recommend the Museum St John's Hospital! I really liked those two museums as a kid, and still do today!

I was an hour ago, but now I'm back at my desk scrolling through Lemmy and Mastodon while following cycling (Volta ao Algarve) on my laptop. Social media manager sure is one hell of a job. I think I'll get another coffee

there is no force that could stop us

... yet! I have some hope in the EU becoming stronger together and try to do something against it. I don't know what, but something...

I really believe this hole situation is a big opportunity to strengthen our ties within the EU and create a strong bond. And I hope so as well... The German elections this Sunday will be important

You get used to it when you live here, trust me. Only once a week, as is tradition!

Can I offer you our political system with 6 governments?

I visited New York years ago (2014, I think), but that's nothing like other regions in the States, I imagine. Where I live (Bruges), I sometimes stumble upon American tourists in bars, but due to the nature of the places I visit they're often more open minded.

They don’t look at the possible outcomes, just that “they win”

I think this way of thinking is a big problem in a democratic system. When you vote, you don't "win" or "lose". But maybe I compare this too much to the Belgian system. There's so many political parties to choose from and they have to form a coalition to represent the majority.

Out of curiosity: how do you see the next 4 years evolving? And do you have hope for the next elections?

Throwback to that one time I had one week to write my thesis after doing nothing all year.

Imagine the bike snobs back in the day: "this corset saves 3 watts!" "fellas, do you wear your monocle chain over or under your bowtie?"
