This won't help but I picked up Divinity Original Sin 2 and I'm having a good time rn. There are lots of great games you could play which are less frustrating

They're saved on my SD card but how do I know that they will be available after upgrading my SSD? And will a new Emudeck install not overwrite my SD card?

Using the touchpad to access the small menu and toggling fast forward does not work for me

I downloaded Emudeck and it's great but I'd like to play my childhood classics with hd textures. How do I do that? (I use Emudeck and a SD card for the games)

What do I have to do to make every stick/touchpad work again? Is it enough to boot into Steam OS most tutorials don't even mention this step...

My Steam Deck's arriving (discuss.tchncs.de)
submitted 2 years ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

my Steam Deck's arriving soon and I'm kinda afraid about the SSD upgrade and the steps I have to do. Especially after hearing that some sticks/touchpads (I can't remember what) don't work immediately after booting into Steam OS with the new SSD.

Quick question: does the Steam Deck go into "auto-sleep"?

downloads in standby mode (discuss.tchncs.de)
submitted 2 years ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Do you need to leave the Steam Deck open to download something on i.e. Firefox in desktop mode or will it just download perfectly in standby mode? I know that it's basically a PC and it should work but since I'm planning to get one I want to be sure.

Should I get a Steam Deck? (discuss.tchncs.de)
submitted 2 years ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I had an old MSI gaming laptop from 2016 which was amazing for me (I always had slow, 2nd hand laptops before) and now I've sold it and my PS Vita in order to buy a Steam Deck. I want to play Elden Ring, the Souls series, Sekiro and some indie games like Vampire Survivor. I also want to emulate games (Gameboy gen up to PS2 gen). Would that be a good investment or should I just go for a PC? I travel frequently because of my job.
