Love FreshRSS. It really is something that I didn't know I needed. I often switch RSS apps, and it allows for seemless transitions.

Just trying to play a little devils advocate. Not saying that its ethical to do it, but if morals/ethics don't play a part in the decision, it could prove useful. Besides, I'd imagine that its already being extorted pretty heavily if there's that much competition for sellers, hah.

Yeah, I'd argue that the project can be good and not widely used. Do you think that there are projects with real use case and are great open source software and not widely used because its buried under the *s?

It could be a relatively inexpensive way for niche marketing. Especially if the developer has a payment option with the software. Probably a decent way to get the software out in the open for profitability, no?

This will continue because of cowardice, unfortunately. Integrity is one of the only things that separates moral and ethical action. In the moment, groupthink/mob mentality/group mentality led to conformity which is exactly what happened, and is an extreme form of pressure. Regardless of the action/inaction in the moment, integrity was challenged and defeated. One of the only ways this will change is something that will probably not happen due to conformism within the system. You lived how hard it was... your integrity was challenged, and ultimately inaction was the choice that was made resulting in net zero integrity.

As everything in hindsight reveals the truth, the inaction feeds conformity. If it's never challenged, then it evolves into a "norm."

It is, right? I found it here.

Yes, objectively. I wasn't intending for that message to be in question.

Nice plug, thank you

Fair. I only use cables, but my assumption would be that they would adapt to new standards. Which is effectively what this is doing to standardize it, IMO.

Well... If this isn't a TIL, I don't know what is ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Most of the time it's gplay, if the app is on it... Probably because the developer gets the most traffic through there. Sometimes its days to weeks earlier if its on gplay. Others, github/fdroid is a toss up. Pretty similar

There are many reasons why grandma won't appreciate cryptocurrency... But, either way, have you given currency as a gift at Christmas? I've certainly been on the receiving end, and it seemed a bit inconsiderate, ya know?

One of the better unknown games I've played. It's free right now. Give it a go if you like rogue-like/souls-like types. Very rewarding gameplay (and pretty difficult).

Does anyone else think Star Wars is a bit muddled? This may be a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I haven't delved into much of it outside the OG 4-6, 1-3, Mandalorian, and a couple games. It just seems that there is sooo much out there. Are they cohesive?

Excellent point. Hopefully it will as it seems like its in the scope of AI capability.

In actuality, this is fascinating! A spreadsheet from a time when dates were referenced by the conclusions of major events. Wonder if someone got back paid for their ancestors' work developing excel though ๐Ÿ˜‰

A part of the job, nonetheless. I can only hope they were provided counselling during their time working at meta. If not, this would be a major oversight by the company. There are certain people for this job... Not one for everyone, obviously.

Sometimes people perplex me in that some of the most fundamental things aren't known to the newer generations (albeit, some of the older ones too, but not nearly as many). Nonetheless, I bet there are people that will TIL this! And you know what, have at it, obtain that knowledge ๐Ÿ‘
