Exact same thing here. I was stuck for years because no internet and I didn't figure out I needed to ask Boos for his keys. Then a friend got a hint book which unblocked me. I still loved the game even back when I was stuck lol. The atmosphere, the music (man, the music!), the weirdness. Love that game.

The dialogue in Oxenfree is crazy, never seen anything else like that.

I say let's not even give them a chance. We owe them nothing.

Yeah, that's why I struggle to enjoy games like Civilization. I feel like one bad move on turn 5 may mean defeat, but I'll only find out on move 100.

I'll check it out!

EDIT: Looks really interesting, actually!

I've played the demo before, really enjoyed it!

Oh, thanks for bringing this to my attention! My problem with city building games is usually just that, too stressful. I don't mind being attacked every once in a while, for example, but if being slightly unprepared to deal with an attack means total failure, then I tend to go play something else...

Try https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected], I finally got it opening here. I've been told you won't see any content that was created before, so it appears empty (not sure why), but you should see any future content added

Hmm, ok. I'll see if I can figure it out

I created a lucid dreaming community: https://kbin.social/m/LucidDreaming
I've added a few threads, articles and videos. Hopefully that's at least something to start with.

Taking an adversarial approach against your own community

This is why even if things go back to "normal" I'm much more interested in seeing where this fediverse thing is going (which is something I wasn't even aware existed a few days ago, so thanks reddit, I guess?)

Exactly this. I've used RIF since forever, so RIF is Reddit for me. Even if they take it all back and everything goes back to normal, there's still a bad taste in my mouth. Reddit is clearly against the community, literally fighting it. Not even trying to find some sort of compromise or anything. So screw it, kbin seems pretty cozy so far, to be honest.
