I visualized a blue ball the size of a tennis ball being pushed forward on a flat white surface by a shadowy figure with only the hand being visually clear. Upon the follow-up question, I believe that it solidified the gender in my mind to be male and also prompted me to think about the surface of the table edges in relation to where the figure stood. However, my main focus was on the blue ball and the hand pushing it forward over a white surface.

I relate to you. I only have about 2ish hours of actual work a day on average, and I have to drag it out all day just to look busy. I never expected that it would feel soul sucking to have so little work but still be chained to your desk. I thought I was lucky! (And I certainly am in someways)

The irony is that when I first started, I was efficient and would read when I didn't have anything to work on. But my boss didn't like to see me reading, so he would give me more work. The issue is that there is only so much he can do at a time, so it resulted in me finishing assignments, and him being so overloaded he wouldn't get to them until weeks or months later. Now I just pretend to be busy, so he doesn't feel like he needs to give me more, and I'm not having to remind him of documents in review that are weeks old.

Sorry for the rant, I am currently sitting here pretending to be busy while slowly dying inside.

HBO is the last streaming platform I have, and I will be cutting the cord soon.

I've now switched to having a shitty chromebook hooked up to my TV with an hdmi cable so I can pirate anything I want when I want. I definitely recommend it, no need to deal with ads either on YouTube when not using their shitty TV app!

So true, I just finished a rewatch and it took me like 10 minutes to adjust my monitors brightness to be higher than the default just so I could see a little bit clearer. Episode 7 I think is the most egregious in making it too dark to see anything.

Wat? I have ADHD and I view texting completely different. It is not like a face to face convo, it's more akin to email, but less formal. You reply when you have time, unless it is urgent.

I'm a paralegal, and Wisconsin is the same. We had a headache in one case a couple years ago where nobody knew the other party was pregnant, not even her attorney, until the final hearing and she was asked the generic question about pregnancy before finalizing. We then had to do a partial final judgment and schedule another final hearing a couple of months after her expected due date to fully finalize it.

I 100% agree the writing was bad, and I blame netflix pushing out the original writers. I'm more impressed that the kid actors did what they did when the script gave them so little to work with. Kataras character was butchered. But on the flip side Sokka, Zuko, and Iroh killed it I thought.

This could have been great like the One Piece live action, but settled for mid. I think it was at least good just because I did have some very enjoyable moments through out, mostly in the second half, and I also loved a lot of the visuals and animals.

Right but it's easier and cheaper to tell a story through animation vs live action. Just because the live action run time is close to the original animation run time, doesn't mean it's practical or feasible to do the same in live action.

I don't think animation and live action can pace the same for something like this. Things that feel rushed in animation feel rushed ten fold in live action. I'd think episodes would at least need to be expanded to a solid half hour for pacing when it comes to a live action.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a perfect adaption. But, I think that would require a HUGE budget and would have to be a billionaires passion project for all the cgi and general costs it would need to properly make an ATLA live action that perfectly follows the animation.

Since that's never going to happen, I appreciate the live action we have for what it is, and between budget and time constraints, I think they did a good job.

Ok, while I agree that was super cringe and there is definitely some more throughout, it's pretty short sighted to deem the entire remake bad when the first episodes are generally never the best in the seasons. They had to cram a lot of back story in and only had 8 episodes. I found the first episode to be the weakest out of the entire season. Overall, it's mid, but not bad and has some really enjoyable moments.

Also, I assume the flying is due to budget constraints, and it would have been too expensive to cgi a ball of air to fly on.

To each their own, though. Everyone's got their opinions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I agree and also thought they did a pretty good job. Not perfect, but perfection is never attainable and for having to squeeze everything into 8 episodes, they did well!

This seems like it would be annoying to clean
