Being the petty person I can be at times, someone on ye olde reddit posted a list of people who "died from the vaccine" and listed... 23 names I think it was? I looked up all the information I could on all 23 and concluded 2 of them I couldn't definitively say what their cause of death was, but not a single one pointed to the vaccine (and a not-insignificant number wouldn't have even had access to the vaccine in their country at the time they supposedly died from it.)
I know it didn't change their mind because hand wave reasons
As most said here, it depends a lot. I usually wait for them to make the first move (offer their hand for a handshake or if they go in for a hug just roll with it). Let them do what's comfortable and let them initiate.
I think the idea here is to force them to develop some sort of empathy for what people who work in fast food have to deal with on a day to day basis and learn from it (which should reduce recidivism) as well as some punishment, hence the 30 day jail sentence and 60 days working in the job (or just 90 days in jail).
I'm personally in favour of this. A jail sentence is purely punishment, whereas this feels like a combination of punishment and rehabilitation which is rare but tends to provide better outcomes (this tends to be contentious so I won't provide links, but please do look it up if you get the chance).

Had a meh day at work. Had to ask people to come in at least one day to the office just so I don't get shit for not enforcing the 3 day rule. (It's all about perception and some people were coming in 1 day a month and was getting comments from management)
A bit concerned about a friend of mine. We'd normally chat every day but they've been quiet since Saturday so have checked in with them to see if they're OK and no response... Hopefully will hear from them soon.

After a week and a half of holidaying and partying, I found out on Thursday I have an ear and chest infection and still recovering while loaded up on antibiotics so very quiet today.
Went out for a bit of a walk but not feeling like doing much so did a little cooking and catching up on TV shows, although I can't believe Wheel of Time got a second season...
I've also started reading The Zen of Cat as a whimsical but good book as I've noticed I'm getting stressed over trivial shit too.
It was a problem with early WD green drives IIRC. The power management was exceptionally aggressive and caused massive issues when put in to any RAID-like set up. You could override it though generally.
