I do think that there are Scientists who like programming. What I would see as a hurdle is that this would be a rather big project, so you will have to ask a lot of people. And generally many people would have to be convinced to use this system. A little bit like social Networks: If noone uses it, it is not interesting.

I think in the city where everything happened she is still kinda famous and even some diary-brand is named like her. Also heard she has a statue somewhere in Wuppertal.

So basically they developed nothing exactly new, but went back to the roots. The article mentions:

"The development of a new fossil-free iron product (sponge iron) that has significantly better properties than iron reduced with fossil gases[...]"

So i looked up sponge Iron. Wiki writes:" Producing sponge iron and then working it was the earliest method used to obtain iron in the Middle East, Egypt, and Europe, where it remained in use until at least the 16th century."

I was also curious which properties are meant, but only found them for wrought Iron, which is made from sponge Iron, because sponge Iron itself can not be used. Also Wiki: "Wrought iron is tough, malleable, ductile, corrosion resistant, and easily forge welded, but is more difficult to weld electrically."

So in sum they went back to OG ironmaking and now seem to have higher quality stuff. Very nice.

This really should be more in the news, for all the "but we can't protect the environment this much, we have to look out for the Economy and keep it running!"

Wonder how, with people simply dying.

So are the people who were anti Covid-vaccine also anti-cancer vaccine? Curious how that is gonna turn out.

"No doc, I wanna die an agonizing death, full of metastases, rattling breath, pain in my whole body, like god intended it".

Which will probably be never.
