Is there any argument that could be made that it might be in Iran's interests to let the enemy think it was more successful than it was, leading Iran to give false confirmations on the success of the assassinations? Or would there be no reason to do that? I take it that Iran never did confirm Esmail Qaani's death, given he is clearly still alive. But that makes me wonder if there are other people that the entity claims to have killed but that Iran has not confirmed are dead, in other words more people like Esmail Qaani who are in a Schrödinger's cat situation but might pop up like Qaani. Or was he the only one in that limbo who wasn't verified by Iran as dead? If there are other discrepancies like that, then we're back to where @Awoo@hexbear.net was at, wondering which others might still be kicking around.

Is this a finance capital vs industrial capital thing, where finance doesn't want to risk escalation and possible nuclear war but the evangelicals in industrial capital do? Or is that way off?

They were just doing a drive to try to get people to mod for that comm. As we know they settled for a fascist, which makes them no better. I'm sure they wouldn't have allowed any communist (read: "aUtHoRiTaRiAn") Pole into the position. But if you made an .ml account and most importantly, hid your power levels, they might let you onto the small mod team, especially if they were having as hard a time as they claimed finding any takers. Your fluency would probably go a long ways with winning them over. Obviously you'd have to actually want to take on the hassle of doing it, and playing a part for a while, but I don't know, some people would find that fun and amusing. If you made it on, just playing the "fair and balanced" card, I'd bet you could help ensure some actual reality makes it through rather than every single good comment getting removed. Just a thought.

I just thought I'd let you know FuckyWucky (and @TankieTanuki@hexbear.net and @Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net), in case you found it amusing like I did, is that your comments along with most other replies in this thread were "removed by mod." Sort of. See, what's funny is that it looks like federation is a little bit buggy here because the comment removals didn't work for most other instances. They're still up and visible (just not on lemm.ee) despite the mod removing every single comment that had any sense of reality in it. lol

I also wanted to see if the cowardly mod of this empty, inactive comm tries to delete this too (I'm sure they will) and to test how this comment shows up when that happens. Because strangely my other comment is showing as "deleted by creator" on some instances, but I did not delete it, it was removed. All the hexbear comments still show up from most other instances though. So when the mod reads this, yes you Tad Lispy, know that your attempt to silence everyone who was speaking truth didn't work. :)
