Some people might say it's just a generic power fantasy, that it doesn't follow original material as it should but you know what? It's very enjoyable and that's what matter the most.
Good soundtrack, good animation, plot never felt boring, if anything things are getting even more interesting.
I hope they announce S3 soon but I'm tempted to read the source.
I feel like I saw 5 other anime with almost exactly the same title...
Frieren is so good at so many levels it's insane.
Even before anime it was already regarded as an absolutely amazing story. For me it just hits perfectly with the melancholy and the concept of passage of time but it also has well made fight scenes.
The anime adaptation is insane because a certain talented director saw that and thought: I must assemble all the geniuses in the industry and create a masterpiece of adaptation. And that madlad did it.
Frieren is a perfect example of how adaptations should be made. It takes a concept and expands on it in a way that makes sense only in anime form.
For example the Fern and Stark dance scene was so detailed and beautifully animated yet in manga it was a few panels. Same with some fight scenes. From one panel to an absolutely stunning sequence.
I'm not even going to talk about attention to details and music.
I watched the show and was impressed, then I watched YouTube videos analyzing the show and was stunned how many details I missed.
Yeah it really deserves no. 1 spot on anime rankings.
Btw if you enjoyed Frieren we have a community at [email protected], feel free to stop by!
Is this that anime where some guy was riding a bicycle on power lines?
No! God please no!
"Sorry I'm not from here".
Just be careful not to say that to the neighbor that just moved in.
I can't wait to see Harry play quidditch but instead of chasing the golden snitch they're going to chase Okarun's balls...
But they will cut very deep ☺️
