Spent all day helping a coworker write an insert statement. We were hired with the expectation we know sql. It took them 6 hours to write 6 insert statements. I'm losing my damn mind. I showed this to them many times before but it just won't stick. My manager couldn't help because they get stressed talking to this coworker and their blood pressure is becoming affected because of it. I took one for the team and ended up spending my day helping write 6 fucking insert statements.

A coworker died suddenly last night from a heart attack. I also heard of a friend of a friend who passed away suddenly too. I know we're mourning but I can't help but feel like it's linked to COVID

Some comments here on hexbear feel so....white liberal. Like the post that mentioned unlimited genocide on IDF soldiers and the comments turned into an argument about how we shouldn't wish for genocide too, even as a joke, because it's bad and we're better than that. Or saw a comment in a different thread saying we shouldn't call people with anti-society beliefs(like "every man for themselves" thinking and we shouldn't improve society views) animals because it could lead to dangerous outcomes.

We are living through an actual genocide of Palestinians. They have no army and are fighting for their lives TODAY against a highly funded army backed by the us. But y'all wanna argue that it's bad to say every IDF soldier should be killed?? Make it make sense, white people confuse me. This "turn the other cheek" bs will only protect aggressors. If we had killed more slave owners, we'd be in a better world. If we had killed more nazis, we'd be in a better world. Everyone else goes to re-education camps before they can be released into society.

Offices are ran the same way as neoliberal governments with unnecessary bureaucracy. Teams are "privitized" into special small teams that have their own internal org structure, no more public end to end knowledge eventhough we're in the same company on the same project. If there's an issue that needs to be raised to higher ups, there's a chain of command of at least 5 people before it can get somebody who has power to do something. We end up just complaining "something should be done" over and over until we quit or it goes away.

This is really just the requirement for women at Japanese companies. Stockings, heels, and certain hair style.

To get technical. White isn't a race. Black became a race since our past was stolen and we have no direct ties to where we came from(though that leads to race being a construct anyway but that's another convo). White was created to racialize/otherise and barely means anything today beyond a descriptor. Before white people were just Irish or British or wherever white people come from.
