I love Splatoon but like others here have said, I’m a casual player. Work and life is too busy for me to dive too heavy into it. Just love it’s vibe and gameplay ideas though.

Took this walking to work the other day

While this is true, that steam sale is calling my name! Thanks for the thoughts. Maybe I will hold on it for a while.

Haha okay, that makes more sense!

Two years?! How long is the game haha! If it is two years long then I will probably never even get to the DLC haha!

Tacoma and Gone Home are more walking g simulators, but I get it!

The Forgotten City was a pretty mind bending game. Also a lot of folks like The Witcher 3 from a narrative stance. Not really my jam though.

Hi folks! Picked up Pillars of Eternity and am planning to play through it on my Steam Deck during a recovery period in hospital. This is my first CRPG style game, and I am pretty new when it comes to fantasy settings as I have typically been more into Sci-Fi and shooters.

Is the White March DLC worth getting? Or should I play the base game and then if I actually really enjoy the game, add the DLC into the mix at the end game? I am seeing some conflicting reports.

I have already spent my meager budget in the Steam sale (surgery has wiped my savings) so I am wondering if I stretch to grab this. I see PoE 2 is also on a deep discount, but I think I will have to wait for that one.

Yeah, I was pretty happy about this. Even though I have Outer Worlds on Gamepass, now I can easily play it on the go with my Steam Deck, so not mad about that at all!

A lot of great games already mentioned here. If you want to try something a little different. Yakuza 0 has a bonkers story that is weird and wonderful, but very Japanese.

Tacoma and Gone Home are great stories and well worth a look.

I also rate the Max Payne series for some pulpy fun story with lots of shooty in between.

Came here to say exactly this. I don’t like Kotaku, and think that the AI is probably doing a better job. But this does not bode well for other publications.

This is what I was thinking. It just seems.... WEIRD. In the best way possible. It just all feels a little bizarro compared to what we normally see from the series.

One of the most underrated games in Early Access right now. I am not even a big city building fan, but their cadence of updates and novel take on the genre has sparked an understanding of the entire genre for me, and I cannot get enough!

A friend of mine got me into the game. Honestly, the graphics were a bit of learning curve for me. I play mostly indie games, but even for me, the fidelity was lacking. I think the shooting lacks a bit of punch, but once I got over that after the first few hours, a deeply satisfying, and FUN Battlefield-style game was waiting for me. Well worth supporting the developers anyway, even if it is just to get EA to notice and up their game for the franchise.

Yeah. I feel like the internet had already decided that they hated it before it came out, that didn't help things.

Hey PCGaming folks! I don't know what happened this year, maybe reaching my mid-thirties finally unlocked the "dad game" part of my brain, and I started to all of a sudden get super into tactics games, after only having a passing interest in them my entire life.

Tactics games have been fun, but I want to sort of branch out and play some strategy games. 4X games like Civ have gone right over my head, but a friend said that Total War: Warhammer III would be up my alley.

I have had a look at it, and it does look pretty cool. But is this a good starting place for someone who is completely new to the strategy genre? Outside of the original Red Alert that I played when I was like 8 and just liked watching tanks going BOOM, I am basically a strategy baby and need some guidance!

So the recent bad news about Overwatch 2’s PvE cancellation was really disappointing, but honestly it kinda just reminded me that I hadn’t played OW2 in a long while, so I decided to jump in and just play some games.

Queue times for Ranked Any Role is 8-15 mins. Even Quick Play Any Role is giving me queue times of 5+ mins.

I’m in Japan but that also usually means I can get games in Australia and Korea. At launch I was getting games in seconds. Now it just kinda feels dead.

They just launched the new season too, which begs the question if I was silly enough to buy the Battlepass… how could I even go about completing it.

I understand the Blizzard hate here, but I would also be quite sad to see the game just disappear and not have further development to improve it. Is this just a my region problem, or is this common globally?
