Yeah obviously the president of the US and the Senate couldn't possibly be controlled by Democrats, because otherwise they would have the absolute ability to remake the supreme court. It's too bad, gosh it sucks that we live under the control of Republicans who control every arm of the federal government.

How the fuck are we consistently the best website on the planet with a sore loser emoji already????

TL;DR: Allowable differences in the dimensions of venues make more precise timing unreliable.

Timing beyond the hundredth of a second is not a reliable indicator of athlete performance. Instead, when capturing millimetres of movement with each frame, you might be capturing allowable differences in the measurement of the pool, track or other venue.

The followup:

"Sure I made it up, but isn't it scary that the dumbest people on planet earth believed it???"

TL;DW: It was a complete catastrophe which unsurprisingly lead to its abrupt shut down. The promise for the hotel was a two day event of "interactive storytelling" and escape-room-esque activities in a luxury environment; instead, the interactivity never seemed to work, the activities were boring even to children (when they were functional), and a tiny room with bunk beds certainly didn't justify the $6,000+ price tag.

Yeah I was saying a Nuggets/Celtics final was the most likely a week ago, but now Denver proved how insanely cooked they are lmao.

Who do you all think is moving on to the next round? My predictions (very low level of spiciness) are:

Celtics > Cavs

TWolves > Nuggets

OKC > Mavs

Pacers > Knicks

The dunk here is not on MMT, it's that the head of Biden's council of economic advisors opposes MMT but can't even try to muster a reason why. The woman interviewing him in the video is Stephanie Kelton, author of the Deficit Myth and the main proponent of MMT. She describes (as shouldn't be shocking based on the name of her book) that deficit spending is actually a necessary good to keep the economy functioning, and in that way fits within the left as a counterpoint to criticism of progressive policies like universal healthcare or free college or reparations etc. as "unaffordable."

But your instinct is right, MMT isn't necessarily collaborative with leftist ideas since it isn't concerned with class or redistributive policies. It's basically just a way to explain why we can print so much money and see barely any inflation despite classical economics constantly warning about that exact scenario.

Here's the site for the puzzle hunt: https://www.timehop.com/greathalloweenpuzzlehunt. Getting them all right puts you in the running for $100 so hopefully a hexbear (or 3!) gets it in the end.

Each puzzle resolves with a 5 letter solution, in this case all part of a spooky halloween theme. I have solved 4 of the 6, but could use some help with the other two.

Here are the solutions I've found:

#1The key here is seeing the little 'P', 'B', '1', and '4' under some of the moons. The "14" especially gives away that you are supposed to transpose the message on the card onto the moons starting with the top left. (The 'B' in "celebration" ends up being off by one space but they've made little mistakes like that before.) To find the 5 letter word, take the letter from each full moon and spell out:
spoiler #1 answer SCARE :::

#2Pretty obvious imo, take the word said during each of the flashes in the video and add them to the grid design in the bottom right, starting from the middle and working counter clockwise. The word is then in the vertical shaded section.
spoiler #2 answer RAVEN :::

#4The key here is in the little dots found on the cards first and second pages. Choose a color and start with the single dot, then connect that to the cluster of two dots of the same color, then the cluster of three, etc. until there aren't any more of the same color to connect. Each drawn figure is a letter (for instance, the black dots form an 'E'). To figure out the correct order of the letters to form the word, arrange the letters in the order that the colors appear in the poem.
spoiler #4 answer COVEN :::

#6This ones a pigeon cipher, looking at the 4 pictures shows a set of letters on the pumpkin. These can be listed out in order as 'LENTGAHI'. We can fill this out in the pigeon key already provided, starting with N in the top left and moving through the list clockwise. Then we use the code to find the answer.
spoiler #6 answer NIGHT :::

~~#3 and #5 are still eluding me, so I if anyone wants to share a solution that'd be awesome.~~

Comrade HumanBehaviorByBjork solved #3, now #5 is the only one unsolved.

It's a show where a group of office workers have their memories surgically separated between their work and personal lives. It's like sci-fi/mystery/anti-work horror and unambiguously portrays the megacorporation as torturing their employees. So basically as anticapitalist a product could be coming from a trillion dollar phone company.

The first season just ended and set up what should be an equally thrilling second season, so check it out friends.
