Definitely educate yourself on personal finance. That's the most important thing you can learn. Everything else follows after.
I'm totally in favor of a fully distributed solution! But you don't need a ledger for it, neither centralized nor distributed. A simple pub-sub + DHT, torrent style, should be enough.
Blockchain is the wrong solution for that problem.
Check out Nostr, its's pretty much what we need.
Thanks for your work! Unfortunately Gitlab doesn't display anything without JavaScript so I can't read up about it.
Depends on what your threat model is. Sure a fully locked down mobile OS is more secure, but I also care about freedom and privacy. It's not all black and white.
In addition to that, in most European countries you have to register with your ID in oder to get a mobile phone number. So its provably end-to-end related to your identity.
I prefer apps that require no phone number. Like Threema, SimpleX, Session, Status, XMPP, or Tox.
Hashing doesn't really do anything because there are too few possible phone numbers. Easy to bruteforce. See the researchers who enumerated the WhatsApp users database recently via the internet...
Ich verdecke beim Drüberziehen manchmal aus Versehen den Barcode mit dem Finger und höre es dann trotzdem irgendwo piepsen. Mir hat noch keiner beigebracht wie ich das verhindere.

The only real solution is to use E2EE, which there are plenty of options for with XMPP.
Die Franzosen sind so geil alle wollen Geld haben aber keiner will etwas dazu beitragen.
