You should try Fedora Sway in a Virtual Machine to see if you'd like it

Sorry to ask, why're you equalizing temperature?

i feel the AC goes on when it's hot or warm and the blast furnace goes on when it's cold, is there a particular advantage as to why you're doing it this way?

i've never had this issue, my only gripe is that I set my system font to Jetbrains Mono using gnome tweaks which conflicts with Wezterm as it's default font is also Jetbrains Mono

Anyone using Wezterm?

and change the password to something from correcthorsebatterystaple.net.

i wonder how secure or private it is to use a password generated online. You should use a password manger instead. They have built-in password generators

I see a lot of westerners always decrying Christo-Fascists and I always wonder whether they can hold a candle to the Muslim-extremists I know

And nothing of value was lost to the HexBear instance.

thanks for this, I was also in this situation, I got a xiaomi router and flashed OpenWRT on it, I then turned off the Wifi switch on the ISP router making it a modem only but I was still concerned about my internet data as it moves between my modem and their servers. your comment made it clearer

i should probably invest in that mullvad vpn now

everyone keeps mentioning Pixel Devices, but I'd personally never use one for the same reason I won't wear branded clothes

you should check out OnePlus devices, the bootloaders are easily unlocked and they've major LineageOS support, the phones also have a high quality build, if you like the form of your XR, definitely check out the OnePlus 8/8 pro or 9/9 pro

another option is if you can get any of the Samsung S10 models with an exynos chip, they also have strong build and are supported by lineageOS as well

Ok, I'l look into those games, I know I have to put in practice but getting started is somehow uncomfortable, that's why I'm looking for tips to improve the experience

the limited time I spend in front of my desktop, I'm preoccupied with learning other stuff, practicing this alongside makes me slower

thanks for your reply though

Thanks for your reply, my high school equivalent never had such, our computer classes were spent in front of barely functional monitors with MS word open as we learnt the "CTRL +" commands while never as much as touching the keyboards

thanks for your support

you're like the 4th person (American I guess) to blame Russian troll farms for the hatred coming out of America these days, absolving yourself from the actions of your fellow countrymen is understandable but pinning it to a foreign nation state is another

has'nt it always been American to hate and put down anyone who isn't white, straight and christian?

Touch Typing (lemmy.ml)

Good day to everyone except to the neo-liberals always btching about .ml being a communist instance, we don't care about your opinions

Moving on, I got my first computer about two years ago and typing has been a pain, last year I read a post online about touch typing and I've been trying to do that ever since but switching from my "hunt and peck" method is quite difficult. Changing hand forms and trying to return my hands to the home format has always made me given up on touch typing.

I now have a lot of typing and note-taking to do and I'm trying to learn this, so I'm looking for tips and advices on how to make this easier

thanks in advance, pals

also, if you're on linux and want to try this out, there's this native app I'm using Klavaro. It is also available as a Flatpak

Hi everyone, i would like to know what makes you stand out from your immediate environment. It could be something physical or a feature that qualifies you.

I'll go first, i have quite large feet from years of moving around barefooted and while growing up, i had to have shoes custom made as most of the good ones were made in general sizes only, i still have trouble getting shoes.
