This is fairly obvious on a couple levels right? I mean obviously online rhetoric is driven by marketing, you'll never know if they created the phrase or just latched onto it but social media is very much like that. And yeah, it disappeared when the movie left theaters that's how culture works.

I actually think this argument is fine I just also think the person making it has no idea what theyre talking about and arrived at it by coincidence

Kamala has the current vibe though, and as dumb as it sounds people have won on that before.

I used to have a random black lab from a shelter that was supposedly a mutt but looked just like a big black lab. He was my best friend and I miss him every day :(

Labs are kind of the best dogs though, I love them. I love all dogs but labs do sort of push a light switch in my brain, they're just so adorable. Golden retrievers don't even really hit the same, despite being similar. Labs are just so good though, you know?

Amend to state very pro lab based mutt which in my experience just tend to be an easy, good breed of dog for whatever purpose you want a dog for.

I really liked it, I thought it was really funny. I dont think I'd describe it as lib as fuck at all, could be biased because I thought it was funny, but its not like red scarey at all. Its not pro Stalin, but its not anti Communist.

Lol he loves big beautiful China

CNN!!! You can't be doing this!!!!!!

Its always 'oh you online marxists who blah blah blah anti Ukraine' who the fuck actually thinks Russia is communist? What person is out there like "Russia is liberating Ukraine" it feels like a purposeful misrepresentation idk

I want to state up first I get it, I'm on the right side, most of these men are awful, and every man-o-sphere influence is awful. Andrew Tate belongs in a 6 foot deep hole, or a hole in the back of his head. Joe Rogan should be sent to the Hague.

But when dudes complain, even about genuine issues, we have a tendency to just attack them for it. If a guy complains that being short can kinda suck (and it can. More so than just getting girls, it can hurt your career and everything.) People, even leftists, tend to just call them a sad manlet or something. Same thing with dudes complaining they can't get a girlfriend, are they not alienated under capitalism? I'm not saying we have to coddle the incels, but we could do better at presenting a future, a better one, maybe?

The discourse about height, and dick size, are both stupid but here (in this safe space) can I admit that there's a point to both? They affect people, it's a real thing.

And back to the Joe Rogan's, I feel bad that men and boys get sucked into that. I have some pity for them, these desperate losers.

Anyways, Im sure I'm going to think this is dumb, but I just can't help but feel like there's a gigantic community of extremely disaffected people that while I mostly loathe, I also really feel bad for. I don't think it would've taken much to push me there, I grew up in a good environment with some good role models, but without that, left to the wolves, I'm as susceptible to the grifters as everyone is.

I'm doing good, at the gym and then I'm going to go back to playing horizon or maybe start elden ring. Anyone out here doing anything?

I have been a straight guy for as long as I can remember. Ive had multiple relationships, plenty of enjoyable sexual encounters, and obviously seen women as a point of attraction since i was very young.

However, my long term relationship has suffered because I started having these panic attacks about that. I start obsessing over the idea that I may not be straight, as a result of some erectile dysfunction, which of course only makes that panic worse.

Lately, almost exactly after I turned 30, its like that part of my brain just shut off. I can, most of the time, become erect and do the deed (so to speak) but its like a part of my brain is missing. The part that wants it, its so quiet compared to before. I have obsessive doubts about what im feeling, all the time. I dont enjoy anything. I cant masturbate, because when I do find a fleeting grasp of arousal it is met with a wave of depression and anxiety that shuts it down.

Im going to my first therapy session today, but im in a lot of pain and just wanted a place to put it.

Edit: weed was a major trigger and ive since given it up

Edit: would also just like to thank everyone for responding, thank you to the community.

I've always read it as at least a little bit a comment on the Iraq war, but what's it's deal? It's the only anime I can think of that climaxes with a military coup, and its cool that mustang wants to put people on trial for war crimes, but then he gets in power and doesn't do it.

It's also just got a whole plotline about racism, but it feels slightly off? Like minorities are okay if they save your life.

Im tired of collecting and managing. Im playing Ghost of Tsushima, and I just cant let myself enjoy it because I obsessively do side quests and find stuff to upgrade. Honestly all the big adventure games these feel like they pull from the same formula, its all just different skins for The Witcher 3. This is why fromsoft games are so much more memorable imo, look at the experience playing sekiro vs ghost of tsushima.

So, The Last Airbender is good. Korra is also good, in a lot of ways. Animation? Brilliant. Choreography? Yes. Anything beyond a surface deep reading of its representation as politics? Well....

Its so weird, how did they go from AtLA, to this show where every good guy is either a cop or a CEO or literal royalty and every single villain is some caricature of a leftist? In the last season, theres a king whos demonstrably dumb, vain, and in no way should be in charge but hes just still played as the good guy and anyone who doesn't want him to be king is evil???

The Avatar, protector of the people, seeker of balance, coming in just to restore the status quo leaders every single time. Its the definition of liberal politics. Just made this thread to bitch, but lets all complain about how many times the heroes in these stories blindly return everything to how it was because "any change = bad"

So, I enjoyed this series a lot when it was fresh. It has:

Disabled characters, strong female presence (for an anime), great action, cool world building, all the hallmarks. Its been around for a while, but it also does that anime thing where the fantasy world is super germanic, but I guess that just goes with the steampunk (Attack On Titan is like this as well.)

On one hand the big genocide in the story is clearly wrong, but theres good guys involved in it that get a pass from the story, and also it treats its made up minority race like nobles, but on the other hand theres a serial killer who goes around killing the aforementioned genociders and the story treats him like he isn't doing anything that bad.

Also: Brotherhood, FMA 2003, or the Manga?
