I never plugged mine into the Internet. I just plugged in an Apple TV, and I’m good to go. No ads, no sweat, no problem.

On the other hand, this “AI” garbage needs to calm the hell down so everyone can actually be reasonable about what they’re accomplishing. LLMs are not “AI”. They are a very tiny piece of a very big puzzle that will, eventually, develop into AI.
And the jury is still out on as to whether that is a great idea or the worst idea ever.

For what it’s worth, the capacity of Commander data did very a little bit during the show, but I just chalked that up to a few upgrades.
Besides, I think it’s important to mention that data was not built for storage capacity. He only had as much storage capacity as he realistically would need during his lifetime. Until he could get an upgrade, I suppose.
