Yeah, I’m also almost 30, and I’m 270 lbs at 6’1”. When I was in college, I ran long distance recreationally (a few half marathons and one marathon), and I was closer to 170-180, which seems like a healthy weight for my body. The pandemic and switching to a desk job really took a toll on my health, and I’m just now starting to get back into good exercise habits.

Yoga has been really great, especially because my older and larger body does not have the same willingness to spring into action without consequences lol

I’m not sure how you got there from what I said

I absolutely do not agree. Will things get worse? Yes, no sugar-coating it. But every fraction of a degree matters, and defeatism gets us nowhere. There’s still plenty to be done. So either get on board with helping, or stay out of the way, rather than trying to drag the rest of us down.

I’m visiting a rural part of the southern US, and I have noticed that about 2/3 of the houses outside the town have yards full of cars and tractors in various states of disrepair, as well as tons of other miscellaneous stuff. Why is that? Is it kind of a culture of self-reliance and a supply of spare parts? Some other reason?

Not to mention, that 65 million figure is the total number of Latino people in the US - born citizens, naturalized citizens, documented and undocumented immigrants. It’s clear that they’re ramping up to imprison anyone they deem insufficiently white.

We’re in extremely dangerous territory.

That’s awesome - well done! Forming that habit is hard, but so nice once it’s formed. I’m working on getting there myself

Related question, do you follow, or know of, exercise routines that are specifically geared towards trans women?
