Sounds like "canal".

Someone once told me that time is a predator that stalks us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey, and reminds us to cherish every moment, ...because they'll never come again. ...What we leave behind is not as important as how we lived. ...After all, Number One, we're only mortal.

to test whether cash payments can protect children from the toxic stress of poverty

The answer is yes. Obviously.

I keep seeing these pilot programs and small experiments in UBI, and they all prove that people prosper and thrive more when they have more money. Nobody is surprised. Was that ever even in question?

I want to see UBI experiments, plans, etc. that tackle large-scale implementation. We've proven "BI"; that was never the hard part. We need to focus on the "U".

The judge is a woman.

And why be upset at the judge anyway? She didn't create this law.

Mr. Kise suggested that “the defense will have to give serious consideration to seeking a mistrial.”

I guess this is a lawyer's version of telling people "I'm calling my lawyer" instead of just doing it.

UI elements that expand and cover up other UI elements when you mouse over them.

"Flat" color schemes where you can't even tell where one UI element ends and the other begins.

Insisting on using custom widgets (buttons, etc.) instead of the system-provided ones. It doesn't matter which platform you're on, I guarantee the system-provided widgets are better at being widgets.
