My M1 chip pro was 11 months old and just wouldn’t turn on one morning. It would get loud and run hot. I took it to Geek Squad who said new parts were needed, but it was still under warranty. Yesterday I opened it and found lines going across the screen even though it hasn’t been dropped and I use a hard shell case. I’m thinking I got a lemon. I am so disappointed.

I bought the Incase hard shell case for my M1 chip pro. I have never dropped it, but yesterday I opened it and found lines going across the screen. It’s never been out of the case, and it’s never been in extreme temperatures. Today I was told there’s screen damage and it will cost $800 to repair. Geek Squad said it’s a very delicate screen that is prone to break even with the hardshell. 🙄
