they are just the latest in a very long line
clearly foreign adversaries are trying to sap and impurify our precious bodily fluids
i know at one point they were quite proud to have a federal (DHS i think?) cybersecurity department on there. like, there was an announcement. this was a couple years ago, so i guess stuff may have changed since then, but i don't trust like that.
you don't get into his sort of situation if "enough" means anything to you. to them, there is only the need for more.
another example of how applying fanfic reasoning to real life events is inherently reactionary. like, in terms of story beats, some of those are interesting/funny ideas, but they ultimately assume that Trump is the main driver behind his movement, rather than someone skilled at riding already existing forces.
the general advice people have given here has been pretty good, but i want to share a couple things that have worked for me to disrupt these kinds of negative habits:
- remove the site from your browser history so it doesn't autocomplete in the address bar
- log out of the site so you don't get your "preferred" places to go recommended
- get a browser extension to block the site as a whole or the specific features that bother you
you can believe anything if you ignore enough history
this is only barely a story. i have very little confidence in western news reporting on anonymous sources out of china. i am very willing to believe that this official is getting removed because of the backlash to this, as china does have a reputation for having actual consequences to fucking up their economy, but anything beyond "we aren't going to do the regulations exactly like that" is completely unfounded speculation
sometimes it's difficult to know where to look for good material on a subject, especially as search engines get inundated with seo approved llm generated garbage. discussions are a great way to spread around well written arguments and relate them to current topics, and i think we owe it to each other to share the good material we find.
to a significant extent, it's the euphemism treadmill, but the usual argument i have seen is that homeless implies an inherent/permanent state of being while unhoused implies a more temporary one.

this is one that varies a lot, but i really wasn't prepared for how much it changed my emotional situation. i went from almost no emotions to a full spectrum in just a couple months. it was overwhelming but really cool.
also, congrats!
