I'll take any silver lining, but I'm not sure if whatever replaced it will be any better given how the Chinese have acted in markets they've achieved majority stake in.
Sad to see the EV targets get softened like that, but with Chinese vehicles entering the market and the price disparity between combustion vehicles and EVs narrowing this is exactly the kind of thing that will help nudge the market along to organically grow EV adoption to similar percentages as previously mandated.
Thank you, now I know what having a stroke must feel like.
Don't you just love to see it: Billionaires with at least a modicum of decency left.
Almost laughably transparently so.
Eby out there spitting truth. And he's right - this is a separatist splinter group trying to drag the majority of Albertans who want nothing to do with them kicking and screaming into the abyss of US annexation.
Far too coherent, this was definitely written by an intern not DJT himself. ;-)
I feel that, for a lot of folks, he was the last candidate that promised an actual brighter future to believe in. It's a shame corporate donors pushed him out of the race, as it left a lot of folks feeling that their voices would never be heard. I think it's even fair to say that his dismissal by the Democrat party directly led to the voter resentment that helped Trump win the elections.
I am partially convinced he started the war with Venezuela specifically because he felt slighted by her winning the prize. Just so he can be petty and deny her the reason she was awarded the prize in the first place.
Seriously, he'd look so much less like a clown if he dropped the bronzer habit and horrendous comb-over that I am certain he does this on purpose to deflect criticism for his actions by drawing all the attention to how he looks. It's like a diversion tactic, and sadly it's working.
Holy shit this is hard to read, what a grotesque dystopia the US has become.
I am at a loss for words to describe just how completely fucked this situation is.

Fully agree. I just don't trust China any much more than the US to respect privacy and consumer choice. Color me prejudiced if you want, but I've dealt with enough Chinese suppliers to have a decent idea of how they operate.
