Musk, with his DOGE, has even abolished the federal department responsible for ensuring that all cars coming to market follow compliant minimum safety regulations. Purely intentional so Musk can market his cars without any oversight. Safe or not. And dare you complain about that: Musk has an army of lawyers who will immediately take any negative publicity or negative comments from users to court. Do they really think this will be "the golden move" to save Tesla? It's still Musk's company. The brand is toxic forever.

Don't go to BlueSky !!! They're not better than X. They obey to the same leaders... MONEY, GREED, AND POWER. A few weeks ago they restricted 72 Turkish protesters the access to their BlueSky accounts on simple request of the Turkish Government. So, BlueSky cannot be trusted they will secure the accounts of their customers. If Trump would ask BlueSky to block all accounts of members who are against him, they'll do it right away.

Oh my God, and then I think of all the hundreds of thousands of veterans who voted for Trump. You did a great job.

Personaly I don't want the UK back in the EU. We had to many problems with the UK. Always cherry picking EU laws or block them when they were not in their personal interest. It was always the UK who was asking for excepctions and when something went wrong back in the UK, they ALWAYS blamed it on the EU. They had no scrupules to shit on the EU all the time. 65 months after BrexitI tought the UK would be super rich by now, since they saved about £350m/month to invest in the NHS? Working closer together... I'm fine with that. Back in the EU... no thank you very much.

I use Qwant instead and I'm pretty happy wiith that.

Just asking myself (and now you guys too)... is it possible to use Itsme on a deGoogled phone? Clarification: I want to get rid of all Google and Meta stuff. A new FairPhone 5 with e/OS Murena could be a good choice, but I have to be carefull. For many things in Belgium related to government and bank stuff, you need Itsme to login. I don't want to put myself in some kind of trouble when I woul realize to late that Itsme's not working on my e/OS.

Just be aware that there are many haters here too. A few days ago I posted a positive message about the EU and.... oh my God... what a wave of negativity and hate I get. It was just like we - in the EU - are now living under the authoritarian regime of the EU. My reaction was.... I'm out of here, so I'm not in that community anymore. I hoped that Lemmy was a more "positive" community, but that seems to be a naive world view. There will always be haters and they are everywhere.

A philosophical reflection: why are so many entrepreneurs obsessed with expansionism? Does it have to do with ego, with power, with greed and “always more”? What is wrong with the local market? Expansion at home, neighboring countries or - by extension - Europe. Surely that should be enough? Just making good money that you yourself and your group of workers can live a good life. Should that really be so much more? Or am I naive and still believe in fairy tales? Buy from Europe. Maybe we finaly are starting to understand the power of local businesses.

I'm waiting for the haters to give negative comments about the title and article.

Ooooo nostalgia. Who remembers the time of Aldus Freehand and Aldus Pagemaker, Quark XPress and Ventura Publisher. Those where the days :-) 😍

The power of the number. If you leave for another platform, there is a good chance you're all alone.
