So the CEO is trying to tell investors that they are saving money by not paying employees. But to me it sounds more like: we are letting our sub-par products continue to enshitify, and any other company using AI to program will be equal competition.

Steamos 3.8 beta on Legion Go, everything is working out so far.

It's amazing how drastic some things change. I transferred some files that would have taken windows about 5min, it only took 20sec.

Plenty of resources, space on the drive, still getting used to the differences of UI and settings, but I'm so glad I finally jumped out the window.

"This is really going to impact institutions that we take for granted," Internet Archive director of archiving and data services Jefferson Bailey told the Standard, "like our museums, our historical societies, our public libraries, our academic libraries — just a lot of people that keep information free and accessible and online."

It's great, customizable, I sent a suggestion to the volunteer development team, and they made it happen.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement on Tuesday that she had directed federal prosecutors to seek the penalty for the "premeditated, cold-blooded assassination".

In the press release, Bondi said Mr Thompson's murder "was an act of political violence" and that it "may have posed grave risk of death to additional persons" nearby.

A lawyer for Mr Mangione called the decision "barbaric", accused the government of "defending the broken, immoral, and murderous healthcare industry", and said Mr Mangione was caught in a tug-of-war between state and federal prosecutors.

"While claiming to protect against murder, the federal government moves to commit the pre-meditated, state-sponsored murder of Luigi," said Karen Friedman Agnifilo in a statement.

I rarely drive at night, mostly because of how strained my eyes get from these lights.

But I recently found a solution. I was shopping for reading glasses, and got the kind with the blue light blocking feature. It's sold for those sitting at a computer or looking at a screen before bed. But I put these glasses on when I had to drive at night, and they saved my eyes.

I know the ideal would be to not have all these headlights on the road, but in the meantime, give this a try and share this info with others 🤓

Whenever someone mentioned these services to me, I would respond that I didn't trust them, and was often called paranoid. Maybe I just don't trust large companies with my most private data, and I don't know why others would.
