I watched a video where someone tried out boob shaped armour- the problem wasn't the deflecting IIRC, it was that the armour itself came to something like a point against the chest so any impact HURT.
My husband is Greek on his mom's side and Italian on his dad's. He can't stand olives. Don't worry- you're not alone.

I'm glad you got to a point where you stopped (and good for you for looking after yourself and straightening your teeth). It's wild that the habit pathways we build in our brain are so ingrained that even after such an unpleasant consequence we keep going, even without a chemical dependency.

I really like the way the green turned out. I used scrap yarn so the white was actually a 3 instead of everything else which was a 4, and only have a 3.50 hook. Overall, still in love.

I made this as a gift, but long story short I don't have the right yarn colours or the right sized hook or the right eyes. So I improvised. Hoping it still reads as the animal I intended!
Ps. The recipient knows my current status and why I can't procure the correct yarn, etc. They'll still appreciate it I'm sure.

The Count of Monte Cristo was a slog. Phenomenal book, I'm so glad I read it, and will never read it again. I'm a native English speaker with a fairly robust vocabulary and it was still painful for me at times, since I needed to look up words so often. Don't feel bad for needing a translation!
