Made that decision easy, I guess. :)

I spend most of my time in Calypso. Those are the only days I've got.

I am working on my rainy day fund.

I don't buy into this "there's no such thing as bad press" thinking. Having 10-15% of the canvas devoted to "fuck spez" kind of ruins the "but look at our engagement" argument.

This is a panorama, stitched together from 20 separate screenshots at the Anomaly. You might have to click zoom in a couple of times in your browser/app to get the full-size image.

Total size is roughly 6120x1060 pixels so plenty of resolution to work with if it needs to be cropped.

This federated stuff is going to remain niche unless somebody figures out a way to make it approachable.

And also make the layout attractive. I view Lemmy via a Web browser on my desktop (yeah, I know, my age is showing) and it is...I'll be polite and call it "a work in progress".

Hello, fellow Travelers!

The mods here graciously invited me to announce the brand-new No Man's Sky Glyph Exchange community here on lemmy.world ([email protected]). Use this community to share your discoveries and search for discoveries from other Travelers. The intent is to build a reliable, searchable listing of in-game finds of everything from starships to multitools to fauna. Stringent rules on the subject line and post content help make that dream a reality.

Since the community is new, it is a very small (but growing) collection of finds and it will take time to build it up. Contributions from you are what make it work, so please join in and help us grow.

Note: This community is not directly affiliated with the Glyph Exchange on Reddit, but those folks worked super hard to make their sub what it is today and I've adopted their processes nearly verbatim because they work and work well.

Some history behind the Glyph Exchange can be found here. To put it briefly, after having to rebuild their sub once (and quite recently), there was little interest in doing that again in the Fediverse because it was an insane amount of work. Since there is some demand for this community on Lemmy, I took the first steps in getting it started. (If you are a mod on the Reddit sub, I will happily add you as a mod here if you wish.)
