If I had to guess, it's because up until now you've held the assumption that the people in power know what they're doing for the most part, and nobody was a dying felon in his last years on earth terrified of going to prison for raping children.

Now you are under no such illusions, and the people in charge ARE dying felons that rape children and have no morals, and the government doesn't even want to try and check or balance itself.

It doesn't, any more than "from the river to the sea".

The only way you can think "river to sea" slogan implies genociding the Israeli occupiers is if you can't possibly imagine any other way to transfer ownership than brutal imperialistic colonizer-like expansion. You know, like what Israelis are currently doing to Palestinians.

Framing it as "you're calling for genocide" is just another way zionists try to conflate criticism of Israel with antisemitism.

It seems to me like people like this are telling on themselves that they're stuck in Colonial/imperial mindsets and lack imagination.

The sad truth is a lot of religious people believe that the end times won't come unless the earth isn't livable anymore.

A even LARGER group of religious simply think their sky person will give them a new earth that's perfect so why bother protecting this one.

They and their supporters are complicit in the murder of the planet at best, and are trashing everything on purpose, trying to claw back any and every support of things that can make it a better place.

Name and shame them to their famlies. Their kids, esp. if they have any, will be mortified.

Oh you sweet summer child...

They still aren't fully ready to fight Ukraine, in what universe are they ready to fight a NATO nation, let alone all of them minus the US?

The only way I see them being "ready to target NATO" is if the cheeto in chief is commanded to join in by his handlers.

That's how I've been pronouncing it in my head when I read it.

I still say "Twitter" though because that and the gulf of Mexico are the only things I feel are okay to deadname.

I can tell you exactly how much every single one of those things is worth once their mansions are burned to the ground.

Hi, I use a truck daily for work.

If I could trade in my current truck for something more economical, with similar cargo space for the things I actually use it for, I'd take it. Can't afford a new vehicle, but if I could trade my truck in for one of those stubby EU type trucks, whose beds are almost the same size, I'd do it.

I used to love bombing around the winding roads in the middle of winter at night, you can see people coming for a mile down the road and can go fast. It was fun. I don't need a big 2,000lb monstrosity to get the same feeling. An ebike and woods will do it.
