Well depending on your diet, that square could have been fertilizer, so I'd say it was considerably more valuable than any claims made by ICE.
Don't undersell your own shit.

media outlets were intentionally toning down the coverage
American media, or media in general, toning down police brutality? Whaaaaaaaaaaat? Noooooooooooo. They would never do such a thing.
That's the point.
Set the bar low, but just high enough that tons of people still trip over it.
Sit back and enjoy the comment wars.
The people who are confident but wrong are too proud to admit they were wrong even if they realize it, and comment angrily.
The people who are right and know why, comment for corrections and some to show off how S-M-R-T they are.
The people who are wrong but willing to accept that just have their realization and probably don't think about it again. So do the people who don't know and/or care.
But those first two groups will keep the post going in both shares and comments, because "look at all these wrong people"
It's all designed to boost engagement.
I only learned about hostilities between the two countries after about 28-30 years on the planet (thanks, US edumacation system) and I still don't think I understand why they don't get along...
To any who are stuck in their countries as their governments choose the stupidest possible actions, you have my sympathies, and I wish you well in the coming days.
Don't judge until you try some ghost dick for yourself.
You're not missing anything.. There's a cognitive disconnect between "weed is legal now" and their brains.
They do the thing they want, which is prioritize stopping minorities and anyone they feel is a target, and then if they smell weed.... Well* now they aren't allowed to legally brutalize someone. They have to actually find a real probable cause.
That's what the "work is much harder now" means. Whether they say it out loud or not.
Saturday was really warm here, like "t-shirt and jeans weather" warm.
I was in the middle of walking between buildings when the clouds broke.
I immediately turned toward the sun and for one, shining moment, I channeled the spirit of Solaire of Astoria. For a brief moment, I was so grossly incandescent.
I decided "fuck this I'm going home and practicing archery." so I stood out in the sun for an hour and a half until the sun dipped below the trees.
I really need to get one of those full spectrum light panels that helps with seasonal affective disorder, or like a vitamin d lamp or something. It doesn't help that my current residence has no windows, so all light is artificial and to get any sun I have to actually go outside.
You take that back, I protect my marines while playing!
You know.... As much as possible while charging headfirst into the most powerful empire the galaxy has seen in 100,000 years hell bent on destroying humanity and all we represent...
The whole show is just plausible deniability.
And the "Wormhole Xtreme" episodes are just their attempt to head off anyone SAYING it's for plausible deniability. "Oh, you mean like the episode in the show? Oh you silly crazy people!"
It's all one big conspiracy to keep us in the dark.
If the options are "I die, my pets die, my entire family dies, a slow painful climate and pollution-driven death"
Vs
"these 20 companies get permanently shut down, their resources reallocated, their infrastructure dismantled and repurposed, their employees find new jobs potentially repurposong said industry, and executives get locked in solitary for the rest of their lives"
I know which I'd pick.
And if it's legal to use lethal force when defending one's life and one's family, then it's legal to use lethal force to defend one's life and family
Companies can die without a single real human being hurt.
Ooh, shiny!
Yeah, but so are 40%, by their own admission.
