US President Donald Trump has stated in a new interview that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has been seeking a deal and named not him but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s lack of “cards” as the main obstacle to peace.

What cards does Ukraine hold with a powerful invader? Reminder: "In 2021, prior to the full-scale invasion, Ukraine's population was approximately 40 million, while Russia's was over 140 million. Since the war began, Ukraine's population has decreased by 10 million, largely due to refugees fleeing the country."

A former FBI special agent is currently out on $100,000 bond after being arrested for attempting to expose what he described as a covert Russian intelligence campaign to gain influence over leading American tech figures—namely Elon Musk and Peter Thiel. The agent, a decorated counterintelligence officer with nearly two decades of service, specialized in Russian espionage operations and had previously been commended for his work uncovering sleeper cells and disinformation networks operating inside the U.S.

Old Video Of Barbara Walters Needling Trump Has Everyone Saying The Same Thing

A short clip from a 1990 interview Walters did with Trump for ABC’s “20/20” made its way onto TikTok, and users say not much has changed.

By Elyse Wanshel
May 15, 2025, 07:21 PM EDT | Updated May 16, 2025

After watching the clip on TikTok, many people seemed to have a similar takeaway in the comments. As one TikToker put it: “he’s always been exactly who he is.”

“He’s been a lying, delusional conman his entire life,” another TikToker wrote.

“The press isn’t dishonest, HE is and that’s why he’s currently trying to suppress the press. 🙄🙄🙄,” said another user.

“If this interview happened in 2025 MAGA would blindly yell ‘fAkE nEwS!’” another TikTok pointed out.

“He’s always been a grifter,” echoed another user.

“He hates being called out by women, especially women in the press,” another user pointed out.

...

Not a single person can explain WHY people Trust such an obvious liar and deceiver, confidence man

Because of Russian Kremkin Information warfare against the population.

Even none of the people commenting “He’s been a lying, delusional conman his entire life" can explain why anti-goodness, self-harm of USA keeps working for him since 2013! Not a soul here can discuss mass mind manipulation, Russian information warfare.

“That unique Moscow mix of tackiness and menace. One time I see a poster advertising a new property development that captures the tone nicely. Got up in the style of Nazi propaganda, it shows two Germanic-looking youths against a glorious alpine mountain over the slogan "Life is Getting Better". It would be wrong to say the ad is humorous, but it's not quite serious either. It's sort of both. It's saying this is the society we live in (a dictatorship), but we're just playing at it (we can make jokes about it), but playing in a serious way (we're making money playing it and won't let anyone subvert its rules).” ― Peter Pomerantsev, Nothing Is True and Everything Is Possible: The Surreal Heart of the New Russia, 2014

EMPHASIS: Published in 2014, known for over a decade, at the public library. Highlighted themes: tackiness and menace just as Donald Trump is being menacing and professionally tacky with Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen this week. It isn't childish, it is an extremely experienced media superstar on the World Stage of all human history, using the White House as a media platform for Russia. I don't even believe the White House is self-aware they lost their hearts and minds to Putin, none of them has shown the level of self-awareness to demonstrate they are free free thinkers and not reactionary thinkers! "useful idiots" to Kremlin or deliberate treason / traitors to USA, it doesn't matter! We must stop acting like Elon Musk is a senile 78 year old man doing Nazi Gestures on the World Stage, and that Donald Trump's attack of Taylor Swift isn't grabbing them by the pussy information warfare / Surkovian Russia!

I’d argue it started with Bush and his No Child Left Behind bullshit. It forced a certain curriculum to leave out common sense and critical thinking skills

Children aren't the problem. it's adults who get their constant education off anonymous memes. The year 2007 introduction of the Apple iPhone changed everything about USA society. We had the Fox News Rupert Murdoch problem since 1996, but the shit memes people flock to and "shit postings" addiction are the learning / education / study problem.

Shitpostinh education is very predictable adult education outcome. Cal Sagan predicted in in 1995: “Science is more than a body of knowledge; it is a way of thinking. I have a foreboding (from 1995) of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time—when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the key manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness. The dumbing down of America is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30-second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance. As I write, the number-one videocassette rental in America is the movie Dumb and Dumber. “Beavis and Butthead” remain popular (and influential) with young TV viewers. The plain lesson is that study and learning—not just of science, but of anything—are avoidable, even undesirable.” ― Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark, year 1995

US has no “hybrid” options against Russia.

I agree. Russian population does not have the Apple iPhone / Apple iPad / Samsung Android / etc addictions of USA. Russia has much more domestic control of media systems. So it isn't possible to wage exactly same kind of war that the "Internet Research Agency" and Cambridge Analytica worked together on in late 2012 / early 2013.

US has no “hybrid” options against Russia.

Since year 2022 the IRA / CA content has all been fed into large language models as training material off the Internet. So Russia/Kremlin no longer controls this, and beyond the original 5,000 patterns the LLM systems can come up with any number of new variations. The only option is to teach "media ecology" and reason thinking to every person over say age 11 in society, a massive education campaign on how all people can distinguish fiction vs. non-fiction. Along the lines of Carl Sagan's 1995 book.

People, all the people, have to abandon their addiction to mocking, mockery of out-groups. That is incredibly difficult, I strongly fear the USA will not recover and will continue to fall into more and more anti-human self-destructive anti-science behaviors, as defined by Carl Sagan in 1995 as it has since every year since 2013 when the "Putin Media Invasion" started.

general informational/factual warfare that democracies are more vulnerable to have truth influence them. US/west has still had remarkable success in maintaining anti-Russia propaganda

I don't see that. Joe Rogan said just last month that he would rather go to Russian than Canada. I do not see people responding with discussion about what is bad about Russia, morality of good and bad. I see people just LOL LOL LOL LMFAO "Joe Rogan dumb" LOL, inside the Kremlin 5,000+ simulacra patterns of meme-speak. Calling people dumb and stupid is just a cult of out-group hate, it isn't actually teaching and educating. We need people to truly stop the mockery and focus on reality / truth / science, and morality of good. Not favoring "bad" like they are now.

They seem to “know” the direction they need to go in to improve the situation, but they are incapable of making a decision that results in a better outcome.

In mental disorders, that is called "Executive Function" - which I suffer from greatly when fighting the Kremlin information warfare. The irony is not lost on me that the psychology industry calls it "Executive Function" and that's the executives in the White House they are manipulating.

Peer pressure, advertising, marketing, propaganda, union busting - all tend to converge on using techniques to manipulate this area of the mind and overwhelm it or cause disorder of some kind.

Look at the techniques from year 2014 onward that Russia used to manipulate mental function of people regarding pandemic / vaccination / defense against diseases: Many posted both pro- and anti-vaccination messages to create "false equivalency", the study found. It examined thousands of tweets sent between 2014 and 2017. Vaccination was being used by trolls and sophisticated bots as a "wedge issue", said Mark Dredze from Johns Hopkins University. "By playing both sides, they erode public trust in vaccination, exposing us all to the risk of infectious diseases," he said. ... "A significant portion of the online discourse about vaccines may be generated by malicious actors with a range of hidden agendas," said David Broniatowski from George Washington University. The researchers reviewed more than 250 tweets about vaccination from accounts linked to the St Petersburg-based Internet Research Agency (IRA). In February the agency was named in a US indictment over alleged election meddling. The IRA tweets used polarising language and linked vaccination to controversial statements about race, class and government legitimacy, the researchers said.

No, I'm in the United States of America where people believe anything of computer media systems. Have you not noticed what is going on in USA in January 2025, February 2025, March 2025 and you think people are "OK"?

Ha! The tisim is strong with him and his ability to see himself as the actual perpetrator of evil is lost on him….

I have autism too, and I'm his same age. What Elon Musk completely lacks is any learning, study, and understanding of morality. He loves machines, he loves technology. Like almost all his social media users on Twitter / X, Startlink ISP, who would sell their soul for machines... they value content and hardware, not human persons.

“Technopoly is a state of culture. It is also a state of mind. It consists in the deification of technology, which means that the culture seeks its authorization in technology, finds its satisfactions in technology, and takes its orders from technology.” ― Neil Postman, Technopoly: The Surrender of Culture to Technology, 1992

I’m not sure there’s a psychiatrist left on this earth who could fix this mental wreck…

They are almost all cowards, unwilling to confront people like Doctor Abraham Brill who manipulates crowds for money.

The whole for-profit medical industry earns money off people being mentally sick from all the mass dehumanization coming out of Elon Musk and Donald Trump and Rupert Murdoch and Vlad Putin (to name only a few), they are all part of the industrial complex.

Only a tiny tiny few number of them speak up about the source of the problems: “Using the DSM V”, or the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, a bedrock text that helps mental health professionals define and treat mental disorders, “it is easy to see that Trump meets the behavioral criteria for antisocial personality disorder,” the open letter said. “Even a non-clinician can see that Trump shows a lifetime pattern of ‘failure to conform to social norms and laws,’ ‘repeated lying,’ ‘reckless disregard for the safety of others,’ ‘irritability,’ ‘impulsivity,’ ‘irresponsibility,’ and ‘lack of remorse,’” the letter said.

This is what pisses me off. Most of these sicknesses could be easily avoided, yet the lack of education from many clueless people

The most clueless ones are arrogant and entirely avoid researching factual evidence of a conspiracy (with evidence conspiracy, not a bullshit "trust me bro" conspiracy) that was published by well-known reputable universities: George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University authenticated the factual evidence.

I guess since smartphones and Twitter were the venue for the evidence, social media users just can't see past their meme addiction to simple-think and reaction-thinking and seriously discuss the fact-based conspiracy evidence. I've been trying to grasp why in 2020 onward this wasn't a constant topic of discussion! Wuhan China is world famous, why isn't this public notice about Russia discussed (constantly!)?
