I was just thinking it could be someone with that goal in mind. Better to fix this stuff now.

Version 0.18.3 of what?

Makes sense. I would love to hear how anyone can disagree with this. Just because an AI learned or trained from a book doesn't automatically mean it violated any copyrights.

Automated tools (AI baaed or not) should be able to handle CP reporting.

I'm with you. I wish the ending was much better but otherwise it's a solid Sci-fi movie.

When I read text in dark mode and look away I can still see an image of the text in my vision for several seconds. I don't know if that's bad or not but it keeps me in light mode most of the time.

Good points. I do think the default community filter should be All instead of Local though.

I'm very new here but already feel invested in it's goals and success. We don't need a ton of users or to beat Reddit, etc, we need to be independent and free. Having a slice of the internet not controlled by capitalism is worth fighting for.

I believe things like Threads.net and the Fediverse are fundamentally at odds with each other because the Fediverse is meant to be an alternative not a replacement. No one should be hoping Reddit and others fail because if they do and only the Fediverse was left i believe it would be doomed to become like them.

That was just the tipping point. Reddit has been in a decline for a few years but we were all like frogs in boiling water but we accepted it because we didn't know where else to go. RIF shutting down forced my hand and now I'm here. Hopefully to stay.

RIF made Reddit tolerable as the site declined in recent years. I might go back for the live NFL game threads but hopefully Lemmy gets some good sport communities by then. The Connect app has been decent so far but RIF was near perfect in it's simplicity - I hope other app developers take note.

It would be awesome if RIF could be repurposed to be a front end for lemmy.
