Using a local client is much better. Like PipePipe on Android. It's not as smooth an experience as it used to be since YouTube sucks, but it's still preferable to a public Invidious instance in my opinion. Selfhosting a private Invidious instance could be a solution too, I don't have the money to selfhost stuff so I can't comment on it though.

Doesn't Finland have a significant suicide rate? And also a lot of Neo-Nazis?

Anyway, social media platforms seem to tend to form a balance between ragebait recommendations and normal recommendations to get you to spend as much time in them as possible. If you follow a lot of things the solution is RSS. If you stick to a few corporate platforms anyway the solution is third party clients that filter out the algorithmic stuff if possible.

I try to distract myself when I'm in a bad mood. Mainly play video games while listening to some podcast. Neurotypicals may struggle with doing both at the same time, or maybe not, I don't know.

They are leaving Twitter, not this place.

Parenti wrote God and His Demons, so that could be worth a look. I haven't read it so I don't know if it's any good though.
