Monopolies tend to be bad. The more my game library is on steam, the more fucked I am if my country decides to ban Steam for some reason or another, or the US decides to fuck everyone else over.

I wish GOG Galaxy and Playnite were good launchers. I don't like Epic and I don't like the stranglehold Steam has on the market. Basically I want a launcher where I can see all of my games, but I also want to be able to open as many stores as I want, and then be able to compare prices and then buy from each of those stores within the same launcher.

Presumably even if Linux must provide a means of reporting an age, you can always modify that distro to always report the oldest age?

I remember when my mum used to say "Don't bother your dad, he's on the internet" like it was this big important thing. Not "He's checking his email", or anything more specific, the simple act of being on the internet was actually of note.

It's a good thing I trusted my instinct on that one. Any MMO with a 'founders pack' prior to release is a scam, or if it's not a scam, it says that the developers have no faith in their product and want your money now while they don't have to actually deliver anything of note.

So there's a few problems with that plan:

1. If you leave Narnia, you will eventually forget Narnia. First it's like a dream, then a dream of a dream, and then you just completely forget ever having gone.

2. The same applies in reverse. You will eventually forget Earth and spend your time in Narnia instead.

3. You can't go to Narnia without Aslan taking you there. The Professor, who was infact one of the entities present at the creation of Narnia, tells the Pevensies that they won't be getting back to Narnia through the wardrobe again.

4. Even if you could pass through to Narnia on command, there is a varying degree of time dilation between Narnia and Earth. The entirety of Narnia's 2,555 year existence is compressed into 50 years on Earth, but the first 1000 years of that existence was compressed into the first 40 years of the timeline, and the remaining 1,555 was in that final 10 years. Also, you can spend 10 minutes in Narnia and end up having been gone for weeks on Earth, so the time dilation goes both way and is pretty inconsistent then too.

Unless it's like... Sociology, or Psychology. They care what you believe.

My dad has a pretty straightforward approach to Americans these days: They're the enemy. Every single adult US Citizen is the enemy, no matter what side of the political spectrum. Americans have the power, they have their precious 2nd Amendment to get rid of Trump, but choose not to use it. By not doing anything, they're complicit.

Tiny bit overboard if you ask me, but I can definitely understand calling for disassociation with the US, pulling all critical systems away from US companies. I would also suggest threatening to stop respecting all US copyrights just as a middle finger. It's now completely legal to steal any intellectual property from an American company. Distribute official cracks for Adobe Creative Suite, why not?
