Great for me, anyway.
I don't, but I've chosen not to. There are plenty of problems in my own country, let alone one half way across the world.
I just created this account. I went to Lemmy.world to make a new one and it said I need to fill out an application. I laughed. Get out of here with that nonsense.

Who's goal? This is sounding a bit cult-y. I want none of it to exist. Short of that, couldn't care less.
An echo chamber is an echo chamber. Whether natural or artificial. Lemmy is extremely one sided. Dissenting opinions are not tolerated nor welcome (from a political standpoint). Perhaps less so than reddit as Lemmy user base is much smaller.
Did you replace them with shittier windows afterwards?
Because Lemmy is equally an echo chamber, and historically people do not like being reminded of inconvenient truths.
