I've been enjoying matrix so much over the last couple of years. Its so nice having all the choices of clients and for me the best part, all those bridges. Everybody I have a conversation with, over the fact that i dont care where they contact me because I will just get it on the same client anyway, are always envious. (It's the subtle of flexes :D) I hope we will get client side bridging one day. Ahh and of course p2p matrix. There are just so many awesome ideas and prototypes flying around matrix :)

Mozilla has something like this working (mozilla hubs) and matrix is also working on a federated vr prototype which u can try out.

Thats definitely possible. Im using nfs because it so much faster in my experience. Just one line in the fstab. Nothing every software should implement themselfs imo.

Feddit is defed from so many instances it's actually not usable for me.

As i understand this: 1.9 refers to the synapse version you are probably using. https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/releases/tag/v1.90.0

This post is talking about the matrix spec version 1.8

alt here since world down: sadly this doesn't work with movies. snapcast always adds delay to sync up all clients. so your video and audio are out of sync. I think i remember that somewhere people discussed that snapcast could report the delay to the pipewire to have the video player sync it back up again. but that isn't implemented "yet" tm
