I’m in the UK, so maybe there is a similar law on the books from before Brexit. Definitely worth pushing

The phone is still great, I have to admit with gritted teeth.

But, Apple is getting to the point where its products & services are case by case, not universally good.

My experience with trade-in has been horrible. A few product lines are subpar (like the AirPods in my opinion), but others like the iPhone or the watch are still amazing.

Will do - hopefully it slightly works out

That’s a good point - might try that when I speak to them again.

I tried - maybe I had (more) bad luck and got the worst customer service rep of all time

In hindsight, I wish I had! Never had this happen to me on a laptop

Hadn’t heard that word before. From what they said, their systems don’t allow it to be cancelled.

Can’t possibly be a scam given it’s a 0 value, as you say

I guess. Doesn’t seem there’s any resolution from Apple.

Seems that way, and legally they’re right but it is just shitty.

Wish I could - but - mis-tap is hardly a mess up! If I had actively accepted it and then regretted my stupidity it would indeed be a valuable lesson

Apple valued my traded in iPhone 12 Pro Max at £0, thanks to 1 crack on the lens. The merits of this aside, I obviously had no intention to accept this offer.

While scrolling the page my finger hit the Accept button, and that was that. No confirmation nothing.

I have spent ages talking to Apple support, who claim they can’t do anything and it’s “in the legal terms that once you accept, you accept”. While they’re legally in the right, I’m out a fair amount of money.

Has anyone faced this before? Is there ANY way to cancel the trade in at this point, or anyone to contact?

Frankly, the support experience has really soured me on Apple.

Weird bug that I haven’t found much about online - hoping someone here has faced the same and solved it?

I used WhatsApp’s transfer functionality to transfer my entire chat history from my old to new iPhone (15 Pro Max).

The transfer worked fine but since I transferred, I can’t see any messages sent or received after the transfer in my chats with people.

When someone texts me, I see the text in the main page with all the Chats, but when I open any chat it’s “frozen” at the point that the transfer completed.

When I text someone, I see the message as sent in the chat. But then when I return to the chat, it’s reset to the status as of the completion of the transfer.

Did anyone else have the same? Any way to fix it?
