That's pretty wild. I honestly haven't looked at how much ram is used on the computer. It hasn't been sluggish so hasn't come to mind. Mostly use a browser, teams, and a VPN.

Overall good desktop so far. Still not the most polished but it works for what is needed and fast.

Think there is an app called Cider that is apple music. It should be in your Linux app store.

Yes, it let you connect devices to your smart home interface, that don't support ZigBee or Zwave, without having to download a 3rd party app. The new protocol Threads also uses Matter for connection.

If its only the main OS not responding to SSH and the web portal just disappears after a couple of minutes use, then it might be your router is reusing the IP address linked to Proxmox. Proxmox uses a static IP address, so will not change once set up. Your router on the other hand may re use the address if it was never reserved specifically for the Proxmox machine. In other words, two devices are fighting for the same IP address on your router.

This is what happened to me. Took a while to figure it out until someone suggested checking the IPs and Mac addresses on the router. No issue since fixing it on the router. Just reserve the address on the router, reset the device that is using the same address (if you can figure it out), and reset the router. Make sure you are reserving the address for the correct machine by chcking the Mac address.

Can't you just put the shorthand words you want in a personal dictionary? That worked for me. Able to type words not in the default dictionary without autocorrecting.

Either Interstellar, which also works for piefed, or Raccoon. Both are overall pretty good. Raccoon has a bit more feature choices for Lemmy.

I used to use Eternity but they haven't updated the app in a while so I began searching elsewhere.

Probably same time. Gives them enough time to work on bugs.

It will be more customizable than Gnome with default settings. Tweaks won't be needed for certain customizations. It more likely will become an ecosystem like Gnome or KDE but that will take some time.

Not sure about the upgrade path from their current Gnome setup but I'm sure they will figure something out by the time stable is released.

This is great advice!

To add to this, doing some light exercise and spending some time away from busy life, like in nature, can also help improve mental well-being.

Ha, I love this! Sesame street was a big part of my childhood. Love all the characters.
