Honestly it was really handy to have a pen and paper around for Elden Ring for me. There was just so much I wanted to keep track of so that I could come back or to make connections. But it’s also a very acquired taste kind of game to go through!

Looks like a fig tree to me! Hard to say what type until it starts to fruit though, the leaves are very similar. You’re in for a treat though when the crop comes in!

The article just feels all weird. I’m not sure why there is such a strong push for/against keeping track of the books you read. It’s just a statistic like any other. Some enjoy it and others don’t, but it feels like each group is trying to convince the other they’re wrong for no real reason.

I personally keep track of books on Goodreads and write reviews for every one. I forget things and writing my thoughts down works for me, and it’s kinda neat to see the books I’ve read that year.

The main trunk will stay the same height at this point, but it will get thicker as it matures. Your best bet is to encourage a few branches out and go for a wine glass shape off the main trunk. With some pruning you can make it look like a pretty nice dwarf tree!

I’m so glad these will be another one! The first one was so great. I can’t wait to see what crazy things they think of for this one.

I just went through a loss myself. My boy was 17 and I had him since he was a kitten and honestly it still hurts many months later. There is no easy fix. I still start crying at random times if I happen to see his favourite toy or a picture of him. You just need to let it run its course I think and slowly it gets better, just be there for your partner and offer support and hugs.

I do Halloween reads all year! I also just really like horror in general so I tend to pick them up a lot. There are a lot of different subgenres of horror as well so it’s hard to recommend stuff without knowing your specific preferences, but here are some that I’ve read recently and liked.

If you want creepy occult you can try:

  • Silver Nitrate by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
  • Mister Magic by Kiersten White

If you want creepy atmospheric:

  • The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling
  • The Hollow Places by T Kingfisher

If you want messed up horror:

  • Ghost Eaters by Clay McLeod Chapman

If you want classic horror:

  • We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
  • The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

I played through The Forgotten City and really liked it! It’s a time looping puzzle game where you have to unravel the mystery of a strange city before every day it collapses into ruin. It really sucked me into the story and I could forgive a bit of the jankiness in the actual gameplay. The characters were all interesting and were very interconnected which made the whole thing feel quite alive. I didn’t love the ending (there are technically multiple but I managed to get the canon one on my play through), it was okay but a little out of nowhere, everything before that was good.

Looks great! The single strand was definitely a good call. I bought these patterns a while back as well and this is definitely helping me finally think about starting them!

You can go to second hand bookstores and grab lots of books for a much better price to stock the library with! Also worth keeping a bunch of extras to restock as needed. People are suppose to put stuff back into the libraries but not sure how the take vs. return ratios are.

That’s such a great pattern! Really like your color choices too! Now I’m going to have to pick that pattern up as well…

I really like watching ChristopherOdd and Gab Smolders. Odd plays a lot of tactical games and popular titles. Gab tends to do more indie and horror but also does some popular games on occasion.
