The Blue Pelican - Deal, Kent (www.thebluepelican.co.uk)

  • Cuisine - Japanese
  • Price - ££££

This cute little restaurant is located on the coastline in Deal with a view of the sea from the front window. Seating in the main restaurant includes a mixture of counter seats looking right into the kitchen, and regular tables.

The Blue Pelican serves modern Japanese food, in a tapas style with multiple small plates expected to be shared. There is a strong vegetarian selection available, but plenty of options for meat/fish eaters too. Amongst the dishes we ordered was Karaage, which was nice and juicy, as well as mushroom based dishes and tempura. We left happy and full, and a little tipsy from the Sake. Would recommend to anyone in the area for a special treat.#

Yeah there is a problem with public urination in London, probably related to the lack of public toilets (and the stupid closing times of those that remain). I don't really notice the smell in most places though, London has a strong city smell anyway.

It was never a priority when a lot of these stations were built, and retro fitting toilets underground will be an expensive project.

Depends on where you need to get to, and how much money you have. Intercity trains are "ok" but can cost an arm and a leg. Bus quality is super variable throughout the country. But if your used to USA you will be surprised at how many places you can walk to.

We already have some of the most expensive trains in Europe. I don't think this really a valid argument.

Let me guess the arts are going to be considered unskilled jobs.
