This was all theatre where nothing in reality changed, to show how tough and intransigent this admin wants to be: the real problem is that if formally and informally allied nations start to think that the USA would really commit to bullying as a real negotiation tactic, they will start to divest from it and expand their pool of partners to make these tactics less impactful.

This could be disastrous in the long run, with decades of integration and diplomacy going in smoke. But in the short term there will be a lot of "winning", as they keep saying. I guess.

The first Trump term was seen as a short term derailing. The second one has a complete different international impact.

Goodwill is a real diplomatic form of currency and it is getting burned at a real fast pace.

They have finally updated the Status Page

Not a lot of information, but better than nothing

I find it funny that this is the first video where I'm consistently getting the "This helps us protect our community" and "Log in to confirm that you are not a bot" errors while using an alternative Frontend.

I'm sure it's just a random coincidence, but it is still funny to me.

This was an interesting question, so I took a quick dive in the docs, it seems it has an S3 integration to help with it, and some comments on the various supported services

More info here: https://owncast.online/docs/storage/

Still, depending on the chosen provider and the amount of viewers, it could be quite costly

It's an error with a dependency written in Rust, the workaround is to use an older toolchain (1.72), it is fixed in the newer code of tokenizers, but probably it is not updated in AUTOMATIC1111 yet: you should check their bug tracker

To have more info you can read this issue: Link

Sure. There's no reason for you to trust my word: Here's a comment from the moderator of the LTT subreddit saying that it was indeed deleted and then brought back: Archived snapshot Link | Reddit comment permalink

You are welcome.

EDIT: Added archive.org link.

Piped is currently generally broken: issue#2809

Other similar services had to patch too, because of changes on Youtube's side. So now Piped works only some of the times, until it will get updated.

EDIT: Typo.

This is one of the reasons I stopped buying games from steam or the various DRM enabled/account locked stores.

Now I just buy from gog, at least I can have a local backup of all the installers even if they stop providing them for a reason or another. Having to wait or miss out on some games have really lost all meaning.

If they don't want my money I'll just use them for something more useful.

EDIT: After re reading this comment it felt like I was astroturfing for the company, but I've no affiliation with them, I just like the fact of owning what I buy. I know about the difference of licensing and real owning, but I feel that if I can just use an installer whenever I want it's a lot closer to owning it.

Block the user. It should be just one bot doing it in the lemmit.online instance.

To do so just, from your instance website, click on his name and search for the block function.

EDIT: For future reference you can automagically hide all (properly flagged) bots' posts toggling the "Show Bots" in your profile, but you will lose the useful ones too and the one not flagged will still appear.
